Session tangerine flavored NEIPA for #beersaturday
I was almost sure that I wouldn't drink beer this Saturday for #beersaturday, however, we plan one thing and do something else π
My partner was on call and had to work this Saturday.
I stayed at home alone and despite the obligation to go to the market, and a little cleaning around the house (vacuuming, watering the flowers), I was left to myself.
In order to find some ballpoint pens that I need for one of the next posts, I had to rummage through two of the four drawers I have in my dresser.
Those drawers are like storage for never-needed, but important little things.
How many times do I open one of these two drawers and just throw in something that I certainly won't need for the next 6 months.

Until I need something (like now pens), when I have to rummage through those drawers.
Two drawers, two hours total.
The result, I found what I was looking for, and I separated three bags for throwing in the trash (some old invalid contracts, documents, outdated phone covers, chargers with connectors that I will no longer use...).

A bunch of little things that I don't need and that were making a mess...
And from that two-hour action, I was very thirsty.
So much so, that I reached for a can of refreshing beer in my fridge.
Hazy Tars, from Robocraft Brewery, is another non-standard craft beer.

Seasonal NEIPA beer, refreshing with added tangerine.
A beer that is cloudy, with lots of fruity aromas, and a very moderate alcohol content of 4.9%.
When I opened the can, the smell of citrus notes, but also tangerine, spread around the can.

I simply couldn't believe that the smell of tamgerine, which is listed in the composition of the beer, is so intense, I added a few pieces to the shot, so that when I pour the beer into the glass and taste it, it won't be strange for me - I'm drinking something that smells like tangerine, and there's no tangerine in sight π

After pouring, the beer is cloudy and pale yellow and resembles juice. The foam is not stable and falls off quickly. Traces of yeast can be seen in the beer.

The tangerine flavors are enhanced by hops, and the beer has a slight bitterness and noticeable acidity, due to the addition of juice, and it slides down the throat nicely, refreshingly, as if I were drinking a sour.

I drank it when I was thirsty, so I liked it, but I think that increased acidity can only be pleasant on warm summer days.
During the winter, when it's cold outside, I'd rather opt for a real tangerine, and drink a standard IPA, without the addition of fruit juices.

This beer can be recommended for hot summer days, for consumption directly from the tap, when the taste and smell of tangerine is certainly even more intense.
