Our favorite Keychains
When collections are mentioned, since I'm not rich (I don't own collections of expensive paintings or sculptures, jewelry or cars, not even expensive books or postage stamps), I always have in my mind all those little things that represent collecting to me and that I keep in my possession.
And with those little things, there is always a memory attached...
I might write about some of these keychains and what memories they bring to me, which I will do on another Thursday in #TBT
And when the collection of keychains is mentioned, given that we bought them in the cities we visited (and some were given as gifts by friends who were traveling), they represent a kind of jingling reminder of the places we've been...
I could mark my pins in #Worldmappin with them
At the entrance to the apartment, on the shelf next to the front door, we often leave our keys.
We have a holder on the wall, with a symbolic shape, a large key, which was given to us by a friend, which is made by making objects using the decoupage technique.
On that holder we have several keychains with keys that we often use (spare keys for our apartment, for my mother's apartment, for her parents' apartment, for the cottage...).
The keys are always at our fingertips, should the need for them arise.
Now, there are some current keychains on them.
On the key holder, there are also several old, dearest ones, which we took out until they were destroyed, as well as new ones that we have not used yet.
In the drawer where we keep the extra magnets from the trip, we always have a few new charms waiting for their turn.
Where do I start 😀
Should I first write about the old ones, for which I have memories, or about the new ones, which are still fresh in my memory because of the cities where we bought them?
I think these old "guys" deserve to be honored and introduced first.
Although the oldest seems to be a keychain with a clog, which we bought when we were in Amsterdam, in the beautiful Zaanse Schans, it's actually not, only the paint has peeled off from the keys.
The oldest are these pleated keychains worn by my partner.
The teddy bear (Dr. Oetker) that I gave her and the little funny ladybug that she got from her sister.
One of the older keychain, which is still on the keys, is this one from Venice, which, in addition to the gondola at the top, is actually a bottle opener, usually beer bottles. That one is, in my opinion, very useful.
This blue one with round glass details has been with us for 15 years. It was bought on vacation in Tunisia.
The other keychains from the vacation are all from Greece, and two stand out. One from the Greek island of Skiathos and the other from Corfu.
The marine keychain is also this one with a dolphin, bought in Cyprus last year..
We also have a couple of keychain that we received as advertising, one at the tourism fair where we visited the stand of the German city of Frankfurt, and the other at a beauty salon in the neighborhood Bruka in.
We received a "Balloon" keychain as a gift from a friend who flew in a balloon in Turkey. Guess where? Cappadocia.
Adorable but very small keychain.
These two "Striped" we bought in Spain at an Ale Hop store in Malgrat de Mar, where this slipper was also bought in June of this year.
My partner hung it on the keys to the cottage to add a little femininity next to the beer opener (with gondola).
I carried this heart on my car key for 8 years. and since my car key is now in the form of a keychain, since I carry it with the apartment keys, there is no place for a keychain.
Of all these keychains. not one is with me with the keys that I carry.
The keychain with the red shoe is on my partner's keys, and next to it, there is also a pendant bought in Madrid 6 years ago.
Madrid was added next to the shoe Maybe because Madrid remained in the fond memories of all the steps we took in it.
We also bought a Barcelona keychain in Spain in June this year and it is still waiting for its turn.
The keys to the parents' apartment have this butterfly with a small heart with embedded zircons.
This little rocket is also waiting its turn, which I will hang next to my apartment keys and car keys, the moment Hive goes "To the moon".
Until then, I'll be jingling my keys without a kaychain, except when I go to the cottage, and I'll take a flip flop and a beer opener with me.
I hope you liked my keychain collection.
if you are interested in a more detailed story about any of them, ask, I will be glad to go back in my mind to the story of each of the ones shown.
"Relaja el coco" that was funny hahaha here is a great variety of keychains, one cuter than the other, but my favorites are the stuffed animals, how cute 😍
Considering the toys in your posts, it's no wonder you like those keychains 🙂
Oh wow, that key holder is cool to hang your keys and keychains! A collection exhibition :D
Before, there was much less clutter on that holder, but over time, keys and keychains accumulated 🙂
It's not clutter. It's a collection, I insist! 😆
I accept.
Collection!
