In my opinion, those of us who call ourselves hoarders and collectors (and how else can we call ourselves when we gather in the #HiveCollectors community) have only three challenges.
One is to find a time when we will collect something. Second, to find money.
And thirdly, to find a place where we could keep what we collect.

When you are not burdened with money and when you have enough time to collect (when it is your hobby) or just to buy interesting pieces, then the third challenge becomes even more pronounced.
Where to keep it all?

When @mipiano introduced us to the May theme of Hive collectors with an interesting statement (which raises the issue of the third challenge - space), and named it Shoes, as if she had hit the target with her finger, my choice could not have been better.

Even when she mentioned her favorite brand, I remembered a story that I will share with you here.

I am very limited with the space where I can keep the shoes that I wear every day. The narrow hallway in my apartment required a specific shoe cabinet, so I independently (a guy with a creative spirit) built an apartment for us.

I was proud when I made it. But I still realized, not enough for all the shoes we have.
If we didn't live in Belgrade, but in a region that doesn't have all 4 seasons and where temperatures don't vary from -20°C to +40°C, we might have a smaller selection of footwear, like this, we are equipped with deep snow shoes and thin sandals and slippers.

So, the third challenge is teasing me.
Space...
That's why we keep shoes that we don't currently wear in boxes in the closet or in special plastic boxes for storing things.

How much and how does it affect my choice of shoes?
When I take some sneakers, shoes or slippers out of their boxes for everyday wear, I wear them until they are destroyed 🙂
If they survive the season, they go into the box on "Hold".

And in their place come others...
And so in a circle.
Since I called myself a collector, to justify that epithet 🙂
When the discount season comes, I must visit one of the shopping centers or specialized outlet stores and choose shoes for myself.

When I buy shoes like that, they go in the closet and I take them out to wear when it's time for them.
That's why I always have a few new ones in my closet.

When I buy shoes, it is important to me that the shoes are comfortable, that I like them and that the price is at a good discount. Where will you get a better discount than this "7990>>1490"

If I ever buy last year's model, I don't stress a lot about it, because as I wrote, I can wear one pair of shoes for several seasons (if they survive).
Well, it seems to matter when I bought them.

Shoe fashion doesn't really change with the seasons, while sneakers are a different story.
Several times my friends made fun of me for wearing the old model, but I don't care.
Are they comfortable and I like them? There is no reason why their banter should touch me.

And then I remembered!
In those boxes there is a pair of sneakers, which I haven't had the chance to wear until now, but I've had them for a long time.
It is a sneaker model that has stood the test of time for decades.
I got them a couple of years ago when I played the Jaffa sweepstakes.

Very popular in my youth, the white All⭐️Star "Starke" were an indispensable piece of footwear for everyone who listened to pop rock in this region in the nineties.
I never wore them (although I listened to that music).
Maybe that's why I haven't started wearing this pair yet.

They seemed uncomfortable to me, which mipiano refuted with her post with the presentation of the collection, as well as wearing them in Graz 🙂.
All the way and more of a daily walk in such sneakers?
I probably had the wrong idea about the "Starke".

And they are beautiful, so clean and white, they have a certain chic style.

As soon as I picked them up, I remembered the freedom in those days of youth and my friends who wore them with ripped denim jeans, most often 501s and plaid shirts.

They are waiting for it to warm up a bit more, so maybe Starke will see the light of day. When I wear them and walk in them on the street, I will share my walk with you, trust me 🙂
