Gram is better than Milligram

When I think of ice cream, it doesn't matter if it's summer or winter, spring or autumn.
The only thing that matters is that in my favorite pastry shop there are always enough different flavors to satisfy all our needs.

In Gram pastry shops, where you can see very interesting decorations, various statues, tables made of massive wooden blocks, the central part of the space is occupied by a wall with wooden tiles of the name of the ice cream that you can choose, as well as a refrigerator where that ice cream is cooled.

Unlike some other open refrigerators, here you are not able to see the ice cream before you order it, so it can be said that until you try all the flavors, you don't have the real "picture", while you look at those wooden boards with the types of ice cream.

I never ordered ice cream by reading the names on those plates.
I always choose an interesting place to sit, with comfortable trouts next to a beautiful wooden table and from the menu, I consider the flavor option that I will choose.

They have really beautiful ice cream flavors.

These are ice creams according to Gram's recipe, and you can be sure that you will get the same taste of ice cream in any place you find yourself.

When it comes to the quantity we order, there is a small portion, with one flavor, of 70 grams, a medium with two flavors of 140 grams, and a large with three flavors, of 210 grams.

Although the price of this ice cream is not small (this ice cream is expensive like any substance that is sold by the gram, and it is not quite legal like ice cream 😁 - maybe that's where the name of the brand, Gram?, comes from), price never refused me from ordering the option with three flavors.

140 grams and a combination of two flavors is quite enough for me to sweeten myself, and three flavors might be too much in one cup - when the ice cream melts, the flavors would mix, and that's not very appealing to me.

After dozens of visits to these delis and trying out all the flavors, we came up with our favorite combinations.

We always go with a combination of creamy, full flavor, and some refreshing tart, fruity sorbet flavor.

I always combine poppy seeds with some of the fruity flavors, while my partner always chooses pistachio with some fruity ones.

Have you ever tried poppy seed ice cream? for me, along with refreshment, it also brings a little relaxation...
I believe that poppy has an effective effect on my nervous system.

I was thinking of joining @mipiano invitation with this post, on the subject of DolceVita, however, as the topic was raised in the collector community, it is not possible to write about ice cream there - I didn't save it, I ate it 😀

I collect the taste of each one I tried in my memory 🙂

The offer in their menu is really interesting(not only poppy seeds), they use quality ingredients, so every taste is fantastic.

I have to say when I seen gram I automatically thought Kilogram, go big why not,..I've never had poppyseed with ice cream, not that I won't though because it's ice cream, hehe. A mystery indeed not seeing what you get until it's taken out of freezer.

Ice cream as a collection? I mean we can try many collections of it but it always turns into a memory and another time 😂 🍦

I am very curious about the flavors that appear on the wooden boards with the name “Plazma” and “Malaga” :o

I love ice creams of that style that you can't see on the counter, I don't know this company, but if they follow the Italian recipe to make their ice creams, surely the creaminess is guaranteed.

You have created a new need for me with that poppy seed ice cream, I have never tried it, but in cakes it is usually very nice, it must be delicious.

I hope you continue to enjoy this ice cream shop although the idea of them weighing my ice cream doesn't really appeal to me hahaha.

hey, @ninaeatshere I'm glad you were intrigued by the boards with inscriptions 😀

"Plazma" is a brand in Serbia known for the production of very tasty biscuits that generations have grown up with...
wise confectioners used the perfect taste of plasma biscuits and added it to ice cream, making it taste fantastic.
You've probably tried the taste of "Malaga" or punch 🙂

I don't know who "Gram" got the recipe from, but the ice cream is great, it melts very slowly.

I can't miss the taste of poppy seeds, every time I'm in "Gram", there's a little place for it in my cup.

Years are coming, prescribed long diet, avoiding sweets... Maybe it's even better for me that gs are measured in grams😕
The time when I used to choose 5 or 6 scoops of different ice cream flavors is long gone 😀

Oooh thank you very much for the detail about the plasma biscuits! I had no idea, but it is something I really like to know, each region adapts its offer to consumer demand and allows people from abroad to get a little closer to their culture.

In Spain there is always a taste of "lotus cookies" because it is something that is widely consumed here.

I understand the nostalgia for the gluttonous times xD but Health is paramount. The trick is in the balance, I always see these "treats" as a well-deserved reward after a period of care. I hope ir all goes well, best regards!

lotus cookies

I know their taste.
Here they are regularly served with coffee.
And I also had a recipe for a winter cheese cake where this biscuit is used as a base... Strong stake, real winter😀
