Evening in a favorite pub in Thessaloniki

What a strange city this Thessaloniki is in August. There is almost nowhere to drink beer 🙂

Many shops and bars are closed for a long period of time, probably because of the great holiday that Greeks celebrate on August 15, the Dormition of the Theotokos.

Several restaurants and pubs that I had planned to visit, when I arrived in Thessaloniki, I found closed.

Such was the case with the Pulp pub that I visited last year when I was in Thessaloniki and that I wanted to visit again.
You can guess the reason, I wanted to drink a beer.
But not only that.
I wanted to feel the spirit and atmosphere of this pub once again.

That's why I was very happy when I saw that it started working again.

When I find myself in it, I don't know what to look at first, whether the offer of beer or the interior.

The beer offer is the same as last year, a very interesting menu with beautiful illustrations awaits thirsty guests at each table, and there is also a QR code through which guests can view the offer.

I opted for the old-fashioned way, by scrolling through the menu.

Over a hundred types of domestic and foreign beers are on offer at this pub, but I opted for one of the liquid ones they have on their taps.

I decided on the Brawedog Punk IPA beer.

I had no idea that on that occasion I would drink one of the already legendary beers from the world Craft scene.
Beer produced by Scottish Brewery since 2007, which is a really long history for Craft beers 🙂

They started brewing beer like every craft brewer, in a small house, and in 2013 they expanded into a much larger space, a beer making factory, the production of which enabled them to distribute their offer in most countries of the world and to have 78 of their brewpubs around the world.
Today, their production is extended to the whole world, they have factories, as the lyrics of one of our songs say: "from Australia to America...".

BrewDog Punk IPA is a hoppy and refreshing IPA that captivates with its unique taste. The combination of caramel notes with tropical fruit flavors such as grapefruit, pineapple and lychee results in a bitter finish. Punk IPA is the beer that started the BrewDog success story and as the first beer from this brewery it remains a classic for beer lovers who like strong, sour flavors.

Along with the beer, the waiters served me some popcorn, as well as some pickled vegetables, which I had seen for the first time.

Fresh cucumber, carrot and olives went perfectly with the Punk IPA, reducing its acidity while still maintaining a refreshing taste.

Since she is not a beer fan, my partner chose a cocktail for herself, and I am sharing a picture of her drink in this beer post for the #beersaturday contest.

The fact that she had an alcoholic drink and a 0.3l cocktail allowed me to have time to drink a little more beer. I didn't want to mix draft beers, so I drank the same for the whole night.

A larger amount of beer and a longer stay in the pub meant that I had to go to the toilet, and along the way I had the opportunity to once again remind myself of the phenomenally decorated interior, as well as to see some posters, figures or posters that I missed last time.

It was a beautiful beer evening, which I am pleased to present to you, with the motto
United we stand for better beer
