Dali's jewelry collection

(Edited)

Until the moment I left the main building of today's Salvador Dali Museum in Figueres (the building where he lived) and crossed the small courtyard to the stairs leading to the floor of another part of the building, I did not know that Dali also had his own jewelry collection.

With the clumsy explanation of the man from the museum's security that the room with the jewelry is located when you leave the museum, we headed towards the gate, and just before the exit, we saw another door on the right, which is actually the entrance to the room with the jewelry.

A darkened space, mirrors on both sides of the staircase, led me to the floor where the jewelry exhibition, designed by him, was set up.

.

Since I was in this museum (in June), I have been thinking about the best way to post photos of his collection of works and the space where this surrealist artist lived, which I made there.

Too many of his works can hardly fit in one post, so I decided to divide them into several parts. In the section of paintings, sculptures, jewelry...

In the darkened space of the gallery, in glass vitrines and glazed in the walls, beautiful pieces of jewelry stand alone, so that each one stands out separately, with its beauty and Dali's creativity.

I'm not an art connoisseur, so I couldn't tell you anything about these pieces of jewelry, except that they were designed by Dali, they're all done with lots of beautiful little details, and I love them.
if you want, there are the names of each painted piece, as well as links to the website of the Dalí Museum, so you can take a closer look at each of them.

The first thing that caught my eye was one (it caught my eye at the World Cup Trophy). At the very entrance, in the first glass display case, I came across

Chalice of Life

Next to each display case with pieces of jewelry and art objects, there are original sketches by Salvador Dali, based on which they were made. Probably one of the most interesting pieces of jewelry, and certainly the most valuable to Dali, that he designed, is the Purple Heart piece, which he designed for the love of his life, his wife Gal. In the heart itself, there is a mechanism that moves the small red rubies, so it seems like the heart is beating.

The Royal Heart

There are religious pieces in this collection, as well as various creations with themes from Dali's oeuvre. Elephants, spiders, Crucifixion, melted clocks, fruits, flowers, trees, mythical creatures, surreal shapes with details of human bodies, skulls...

The Psychedelic Flower

Daphne

The Spider of the Night

Ruby Lips

Slow Ring

Swam Lake

The Space Elephant

The Falling Angel

Pax Vobiscum

Dolphins and Mermaids

Necklace with Entwined Limbs (Choreographic Necklace)

This piece blew me away with the combination of purple and gold, with little skulls. Very small details that I was able to zoom in on, show the precision with which this jewelry was made.

Grapes of Immortality

The Angel Cross

The Light of Christ

Lapis Lazuli Cross

The Gold Cube Cross

Twig Cross

Not to end the post with photos of the crucifixion, I return to some of the works for which Dali is widely known.
Melted watches...

The Persistence of Memory

There is also a small golden heart
The Honeycomb Heart

As well as a beautiful golden "living flower", with human hands and fingers at the ends of the petals.

The Living Flower

A bit twisted, isn't it? Almost like everything in this museum. all the exhibits are there to surprise you, excite you, make you think about what Dali wanted to show with his work, and it is undeniable that you enjoy the beauty of all his works.

When I wrote about my tour of this museum, I mentioned that I wasn't sure which community to post it in, but @sofathana helped me by suggesting I post it here.
I won't re-pin the Dalí Museum in #Worldmappin, so as not to make a fuss, but I will listen to her and share these beautiful photos of the works of art with you.

Enjoy the beauty of these details, until the next post in which I will share photos of Dali's sculptures, installations or paintings.

Thank you for stopping by my post and I hope you enjoyed the photos I shared with you

All photos are my property, taken with a mobile phone

An incredible display of art! Worthy of Dalí, to blow anyone's mind 😵.

Thanks for the mention 😉, pin the post again, it's worth it because this is another part of the museum and also because it is a rule of the Worldmappin community that every post is on the map, greetings!

How could I forget that visit! But you beat me, I didn't take as many pictures as you did, (great job!) maybe because I didn't have a blog at that time 😄.
