When we are faced with a burden (a difficult decision)
I was passing by the intermodal terminal in the company and watched as a big orange one
the richstacker glides smoothly over the shiny concrete, approaching the trailer of the rolling stock and easily lifts large, very heavy containers filled with goods.

Without hesitation, it lowers his big "Hand", grabs the heavy container with surgical precision, and as if without any effort, lifts it up and moves it to the desired place without any trouble.

I thought: "It's easy for it, it has great strength. What does it take for a man to carry his "difficult" life decisions as easily as this monstrosity?"
Decisions are not difficult because of their complexity, but because of the emotional burden and weight of the potential consequences they carry.
Would this richstacker be able to move the burden so easily if it didn't have a good foundation built beforehand on which to drive its huge wheels.
It wouldn't.
In the same way, even a person who does not have a developed character and does not have certain life values (foundation) could not cope with solving difficult decisions.
The foundation on which this machine moves, I observed myself while it was being made.
Thick reinforcement, a lot of compacted and compacted stone, a lot of concrete, strengthened the base so much that the machine moves easily.
It's like sliding on ice.
Does a person have a developed character before deciding on some difficult life problems? Has he defined in his head the values that guide him through life, be it family, freedom, career, integrity...).
Did he ask himself, who is he and what is important to him? Because if it is, every burden we encounter on our life's journey will be much easier to bear.
A person with a built character will be able to accept responsibility for the decision made, no matter how difficult the problem may be. He must have a self-confidence that will help him manage his life.
Just as this machine has a powerful engine and precise control mechanisms, and at the same time it does not approach lifting the load without any evaluations, so we, before starting to solve a problem, should use our head (if we consider that we have already built the foundation), and look at the problem analytically, to collect as much information as possible, to look at all the facts, list all the options and determine what all the risks are possible if we make the wrong decision.
Just as the machine positions its "hand" so that it handles the load properly, directing the power of its hydraulics to a specific point, and we must know how to hit that point, which separates the problem from emotions, so that our decision affects only the problem.
Before the first step in solving the problem, we must check the pros and cons list, set priorities so that we know the true weight of each of our options.
The machine has a clear task. Remove the container from the train and transfer it to a predefined location.
It is an operation that has been performed several times, for which there is no need to think about what awaits the machine after the load has been transferred.
And us? It's different with us. Before making a decision, we should ask ourselves what our life will look like after we make that decision. Will we be satisfied after that decision?
It would be useful to imagine, to virtualize, the first moments of our lives after making that decision...
Only then, we will solve this difficult problem thoughtfully, not impulsively and not "blindly".
And what happens when the machine operator makes a movement that shakes the machine? Various shock absorbers and stabilizers are then activated, and the hydraulic system of the machine returns it to the correct course.
When we are faced with a difficult problem for which we have to make a decision, fear of failure and anxiety due to the unknown may arise.
In order to stabilize ourselves, when we are carried away by emotions, we must learn how to be tolerant of the uncertainty that a decision can cause. We should accept the fact that the ideal decision most often does not exist and that a mistake is an opportunity to learn something, and not always necessarily a disaster.
And while the big machine is moving away carrying a big heavy container, I know that with the built foundations of my character, with very analytical and rational thinking, I am ready almost like that machine to tackle any burden (problem) and make a decision that I will not regret.
