The plane took off exactly on schedule. Just 6 hours and we will land at Dabolim airport in Goa.
We were given some food during the flight. 1 hot meal and 1 sandwich.
Enjoy! Here comes the sandwich! However, we will appreciate what they give. This is economy class.
But the plane flew normally, the seats were quite comfortable, not a cattle truck like on regular charters, and that’s the main thing!
Dabolim airport greeted us with the usual stuffiness and bustle. There are usually no problems on arrival, except that there is a crowd of people at the border control with visas. Some people have an electronic visa, while others have a regular paper one in their passport. Last time there was a queue for e-visas, but this time the queue was to the side for regular paper visas. But overall it’s tolerable, there were bigger crowds! The main problems begin on departure, when Indian workers masterfully create noisy queues for baggage inspection. And you can easily stand in the wrong line, and then stand again for some time in the right line. It seemed that all this was being done in order to snatch money for “fast passage without the queue.” You will give the money, but it’s not a fact that it will be a “fast” pass without a queue, oh, it’s not a fact! There is no “priority” for you here! But we have just arrived, and therefore we will not worry about distant problems on departure. There is still no ATM at the airport! Therefore, you won’t be able to withdraw rupees from the card, but there are ATMs in Varca! We came here for 3 weeks! A bounty awaits us!
We specifically chose the month of March, there are few people in Goa, the season is ending, prices are falling, but it is quite comfortable to relax, the sea is warm, although the waves already begin in April. That's why we like Goa - it's the climate! Asia is still very humid and stuffy. Vietnam in July is a special kind of hell! Here it is relatively fresh at night and early in the morning, and hot during the day. “Dry” heat is easier to bear! People slowly gather in the tour operator's minibus. We are going to South Goa!
For some reason, we prefer the southern part of the state with gorgeous beaches like Agonda or Palolem. Mandrem was good last time, but “cheap” northern Goa somehow didn’t win our hearts. I want a deserted beach with a minimum of people and I don’t want a bunch of freaks with drums and the drug-addicted romance of crazy northern beaches. And even more so, you don’t want beaches where locals relax noisily. I want to relax on a quiet beach with white sand to the sound of the waves, ideally without music and not more than a person per kilometer, heh. It was according to these parameters that Varca was chosen, although, to be honest, it is not exactly Varca, it is Zalor Beach, it is closer to Carmona and Cavelossim. But I’ll tell you about Varka beach another time (there’s a lot to tell and show here!), let’s get to the beach, everything is in order, now we’re going to check into the hotel.

Das Flugzeug startete genau pünktlich. Nur 6 Stunden und wir landen am Flughafen Dabolim in Goa. Während des Fluges bekamen wir etwas zu essen. 1 warme Mahlzeit und 1 Sandwich. Genießen! Hier kommt das Sandwich! Wir werden jedoch dankbar sein, was sie geben. Das ist Economy Class. Aber das Flugzeug flog normal, die Sitze waren recht bequem, kein Viehtransporter wie bei regulären Charterflügen, und das ist die Hauptsache!
Der Flughafen Dabolim begrüßte uns mit der üblichen stickigen Hektik. Bei der Ankunft gibt es in der Regel keine Probleme, außer dass sich an der Grenzkontrolle ein Gedränge von Menschen mit Visa befindet. Manche Menschen haben ein elektronisches Visum, während andere ein normales Papiervisum in ihrem Reisepass haben. Letztes Mal gab es eine Warteschlange für E-Visa, aber dieses Mal befand sich die Warteschlange für reguläre Papiervisa an der Seite. Aber im Großen und Ganzen ist es erträglich, es waren größere Menschenmengen da! Die Hauptprobleme beginnen beim Abflug, wenn indische Arbeiter meisterhaft laute Warteschlangen für die Gepäckkontrolle schaffen. Und man kann leicht in der falschen Reihe stehen und dann wieder eine Zeit lang in der richtigen Reihe stehen. Es schien, dass all dies getan wurde, um Geld für eine „schnelle Durchfahrt ohne Warteschlange“ zu ergattern. Sie werden das Geld geben, aber es ist keine Tatsache, dass es ein „schneller“ Pass ohne Warteschlange sein wird, oh, das ist keine Tatsache! Hier gibt es für Sie keine „Priorität“! Aber wir sind gerade erst angekommen und müssen uns daher bei der Abreise keine Sorgen über entfernte Probleme machen. Es gibt immer noch keinen Geldautomaten am Flughafen! Daher können Sie keine Rupien von der Karte abheben, aber es gibt Geldautomaten in Varka! Wir waren für 3 Wochen hier! Ein Kopfgeld erwartet uns!
Wir haben uns speziell für den Monat März entschieden, es gibt nur wenige Menschen in Goa, die Saison geht zu Ende, die Preise sinken, aber es ist recht angenehm zum Entspannen, das Meer ist warm, obwohl die Wellen bereits im April beginnen. Deshalb mögen wir Goa – es ist das Klima! In Asien ist es immer noch sehr feucht und stickig. Vietnam im Juli ist eine Hölle der besonderen Art! Hier ist es nachts und frühmorgens relativ frisch und tagsüber heiß. „Trockene“ Hitze ist leichter zu ertragen! Langsam versammeln sich die Menschen im Kleinbus des Reiseveranstalters. Wir fahren nach Süd-Goa!
Aus irgendeinem Grund bevorzugen wir den südlichen Teil des Staates mit wunderschönen Stränden wie Agonda oder Palolem. Mandrem war letztes Mal gut, aber das „billige“ Nord-Goa hat uns irgendwie nicht überzeugt. Ich möchte einen einsamen Strand mit einem Minimum an Menschen und ich möchte keine Horde Freaks mit Trommeln und der drogenabhängigen Romantik verrückter Strände im Norden. Und noch mehr: Sie wollen keine Strände, an denen die Einheimischen lautstark entspannen. Ich möchte an einem ruhigen Strand mit weißem Sand zum Rauschen der Wellen entspannen, am besten ohne Musik und nicht mehr als eine Person pro Kilometer, heh. Nach diesen Parametern wurde Varka ausgewählt, obwohl es ehrlich gesagt nicht unbedingt Varka ist, sondern Zalor Beach, es liegt näher an Carmona und Cavelossim. Aber vom Varka-Strand erzähle ich dir ein anderes Mal (hier gibt es viel zu erzählen und zu zeigen!), auf geht’s zum Strand, alles ist in Ordnung, jetzt checken wir im Hotel ein.
