When you think of the Highlands, and you're a wee hungry, what comes to mind?

Coos!!!

One of the stops on our trip was to the Aberdeenshire Highland Beef Farm to visit the adorable and tasty animals known as Highland Coos.

Of course, they don't just have coos, they also had some newborn lambs:

But the main attraction was the herd of cattle raised by Grace and her daughters. They raise both show animals and meat cattle. This one is a model (but I can't remember her name! ugh.) if you've seen pictures of coos in the last few years it's like to be her!

They are such sweet and docile creatures, and Grace really spoils them. Which is probably why they taste so good! Honestly, she had us try a burger before the tour and it was definitely in the top five I've ever had. I'm a bit glad it was before we met the coos, because I probably would have been sad.

These are just my film shots, I have many more digital pictures that I'll get to posting eventually. They include a baby. So cute! Is it mean to make you wait? Yes. Will you have to wait? also yes.
