Gazelle Family Photos Part 6

Last year, @darth-azrael inspired me to bid on old photo slides and scan them for posterity. Being a film photography nerd I completely fell in love with the task. If you like this kind of thing I highly recommend checking out his posts.

The first set I won at auction was several boxes of slides taken by Miss Kathryn Gazelle of Washington DC. They range in date from 1948ish to 1963. I'm going to post them roughly by date and subject and give some background on what I have learned about the Gazelle family.

These are from 1950.

1950 had only these 7 images, labeled as "Winter Scenes". Although it appears that not all of them are in fact winter scenes.

This cat shows up in later photos, though not usually this blurry!

This is the Westchester , an historic apartment complex in NW Washington DC. I don't know if they ever lived here but there are several photos taken on the grounds. I thought the building was abandoned given the amount of ivy, but it seems the maintenance standards were just different back then.

Now we get actual winter scenes. These appear to all be from West Virginia.

I'm not a huge fan of landscapes. It's still cool to see though. I bet many of the trees in these photos are long gone or huge by now.
