Second round of Presidential Elections in Croatia
Hello everyone :)!
I’ve already written about this topic but here’s the new, updated post! The second round of the Croatian presidential elections is tomorrow, and the after the tense and very close (win for Zoran Milanović) first round. The second round will be held on 12.01.2025. (Sunday). Current President Zoran Milanović led in the standings with an impressive 49% of the vote but fell short just a few percent for the win. His closest rival, Dragan Primorac, representing HDZ (right wing party), earned 19%, securing his spot in the final showdown. This percentage is very embarrassing for HDZ, I guess they don’t like their own candidate (that mind you keeps saying he lives in the United States and he has a private clinic in Croatia🙃..).
One of the biggest let’s say highlights leading up to the second round has been the debate between Milanović and Primorac that was held on Tuesday. To put it simply, Milanović dominated. His sharp wit, experience, POLITICAL KNOWLEDGE (a law faculty behind him) and calm confidence were on full force. Many viewers agreed that he outshone Primorac, especially during heated exchanges where he showed Primorac’s real face. Milanović’s presence alone made people realize why many see him as a strong and capable leader. He has always been for his people and will continue to do so, you don’t see that in a lot of politicians. I wish there are English subtitles for the debate so you can crack a laugh too😅.
As for me, I’m definitely not afraid of openly speaking out on injustice and problems some parties have. After all I study law and every professor told us that we should be informed and to never be afraid to speak for what we think is right.
I’m looking forward to being the President of the election board again and doing my best to make the elections go smoothly as possible.
We (Croatians) now face a big decision in the second round. Milanović’s leadership style, marked by his firm stances on both domestic and international issues, has left a strong impression for his next presidency. He’s never turned away from controversy, including his critiques of certain Western policies, particularly regarding military aid to Ukraine. On the other hand, Primorac has positioned himself as a candidate for change, advocating unity and a closer alignment with Western allies (but to our shame he will use that only to take care for himself). However, his campaign has faced some hard criticism, and the debate didn’t help his cause.
If you are able to vote PLEASE GO. If not for yourself, go for those that cannot vote yet, go for young people so we don’t have to leave the country we were born in for a better tomorrow. Every vote matters, every election is an opportunity to make a difference. It’s only one day, 5 minutes of your time for a better future. Vote for who think is a good candidate for our country :)

Unfortunately..
have you seen what Trump is on with Greenland?🙃 yeah… Primorac would sell us so fast just to fatten his and Plenković’s (our prime minister) pocket🤣😆
Thank you for the lolz and tipu curation🙏🏻
Trump has a big mouth. In the end, his actions are much more moderate than his words. 🤞
