A lot of people ask me how I started, what my first card was, how I think about strategies nowadays and what I'm still looking for in this game that has become more than just a hobby and even my content. How did I discover Splinterlands?

To be honest, it was almost by accident.

Around 2021, I was diving into the world of cryptocurrencies and NFT games, like many others. The market was booming, Axie Infinity was on the rise, and everyone was talking about Play-to-Earn. I started exploring several blockchain games, and in one of those, I came across a video on the platform cos.tv that talked about Splinterlands as one of the games with the best long-term potential because it has a sustainable model and its own economy that was already more consolidated.

The game's visuals didn't really catch my attention at the time, to be honest. It was too simple. But then I got curious: "How has this little game been among the top blockchain games for so long?" I decided to create an account and test it out by buying "Spellbook". I spent about $10 and, voila, I got some "LTC" that I had won from a faucet. Not only for the gameplay, but for the strategic depth. With each battle I wanted to understand more.

My first memorable card and initial battle

Man, my first memorable card was a Serpentine Spy. I was playing with the Fire deck, using Malric Inferno, and I remember being surprised by the Spy's Opportunity ability. She would jump on enemies with the lowest health and destroy them all!

It was the first time I realized that the order of the cards, the abilities and the timing were MUCH more important than just placing strong monsters. Winning this battle gave me the feeling that I could, indeed, beat stronger opponents if I understood the rules and builds well. It was a turning point. And it was also at this time that I started writing down my combinations, studying the opponent's cards and even watching videos of other players. I think that's when the spirit of "analyze to evolve" began, which I still use in my videos and articles today.

How has my strategy evolved over time?

Look, if you've been playing Splinterlands for more than a month, you've probably noticed that the game forces you to evolve. You can even start by clicking on "Battle" and hoping to win, but at some point that stops working. And then you realize that you need to understand every card, every ability, every battle rule.

In the beginning, my strategy was 100% based on spamming strong decks that were in fashion. I always used Fire with Malric or Water with Alric, and ignored elements like terrain, order, counters, buffs, and debuffs. Over time, I started to think in terms of synergies and flexibility. Today, my game is much more adaptive. I read the battle rules, look at my opponent's history, and build my team based on that. I value skills like Thorns, Reflection Shield, Rust, Silence, Cleanse, Oppress much more... things I didn't even notice before.

Furthermore, with the arrival of new expansions such as Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers and Rebellion, the meta has changed completely, and I have learned to always think about cost-benefit. Sometimes, a well-positioned cheap card wins the game. And another thing: I have learned to use rental cards as part of my strategy. There is no shame in renting a key card to climb the rankings or complete a daily mission. It is game intelligence.

What are my goals in Splinterlands today?

Today, my goals are very clear and divided into three fronts:

1. Competitive

I want to maintain a solid performance in the leagues I play in, especially Gold and Diamond, and prepare myself well for tournaments and guild brawls. I like to see the evolution of my deck and compare it with the guys at the top.

One of my goals is to form a competitive meta team focused on some specific battle rules. I already have solid builds for “Equalizer”, “Stampede” and “Silenced Summoners”, but I'm always looking to improve, whether with new cards, runes (when available) or simply optimizing positioning.

2. Content

My goal with the channel and blog is to transform my journey into useful and accessible content. To show that it's possible to play without being a "whale", that it's possible to have fun and learn strategy in a blockchain game. I always try to translate the complex into something didactic, without losing the fun side.

And of course, I want to be a reference for those who are just starting out and wonder: “Is it worth playing Splinterlands today?” The answer is yes, if you know what you're getting into and play strategically.

3. Growth of Equity in the Game

This is a point that many people ignore, but I like to follow: the growth of my portfolio within Splinterlands. I make spreadsheets, monitor the return in SPS, DEC, valued cards, and use this to make reinvestment decisions.

Another aspect that I am currently working on in terms of passive income is the issue of "lands", but it is still something that I started recently, I am looking to understand ways to enhance this within the game, of course the value of tokens has fallen a lot but I still have a purpose in the project.

I'm always keeping an eye on the card market and the Hive community's movements, especially updates that impact the value of cards or the game's economy. In the future, I want my collection to be a constant source of passive income, whether through rentals or asset appreciation.

Como Descobri Splinterlands e Por Que Nunca Mais Saí

Fala, galera! Aqui é o dreloop07, e hoje eu vou contar pra vocês um pouco da minha trajetória dentro do game @Splinterlands. Muita gente pergunta como eu comecei, qual foi minha primeira carta, como eu penso as estratégias hoje em dia e o que eu ainda tô buscando dentro desse jogo que virou mais que um passatempo e até do meu conteúdo.

Como eu descobri Splinterlands?

Pra ser sincero, foi quase por acidente.

Lá por volta de 2021, eu tava mergulhando no mundo das criptomoedas e jogos NFT, como muita gente. O mercado tava fervendo, Axie Infinity tava em alta, e todo mundo falava de Play-to-Earn. Comecei a explorar vários jogos da blockchain, e em uma dessas, esbarrei num video na plataforma cos.tv que falava sobre Splinterlands como um dos jogos com melhor potencial de longo prazo por ter um modelo sustentável e uma economia própria já mais consolidada.

O visual do jogo na época não me chamou tanto a atenção, pra ser honesto. Era simples demais. Mas aí veio a curiosidade: “Como é que esse joguinho tá entre os top de blockchain há tanto tempo?” Resolvi criar uma conta e testar com o comprando "Spellbook". Gastei uns $10 e, pronto, de unas "LTC" que tinha ganhado de faucet. Não só pela gameplay, mas pela profundidade estratégica. A cada batalha eu queria entender mais.

Minha primeira carta memorável e batalha inicial

Cara, minha primeira carta memorável foi uma Serpentine Spy. Eu tava jogando com o deck de Fogo, usando o Malric Inferno, e lembro que fui surpreendido pela habilidade Opportunity da Spy. Ela pulava nos inimigos com menos vida e destruía geral!

Foi a primeira vez que percebi que a ordem das cartas, as habilidades e o timing eram MUITO mais importantes do que só colocar monstros fortes. A vitória dessa batalha me deu a sensação de que eu podia, sim, vencer adversários mais fortes se eu entendesse bem as regras e builds. Foi um ponto de virada. E foi também nessa época que comecei a anotar minhas combinações, estudar as cartas adversárias e até assistir vídeos de outros players. Acho que aí começou o espírito do “analisar para evoluir” que trago até hoje nos meus vídeos e artigos.

Como minha estratégia evoluiu com o tempo?

Olha, se você joga Splinterlands há mais de um mês, já percebeu que o jogo te obriga a evoluir. Você pode até começar clicando em “Batalhar” e torcendo pra ganhar, mas uma hora isso para de funcionar. E aí você percebe que precisa entender cada carta, cada habilidade, cada regra de batalha.

No começo, minha estratégia era 100% baseada em spamming de decks fortes que estavam na moda. Usava sempre Fogo com Malric ou Água com Alric, e ignorava elementos como terreno, ordem, counters, buffs e debuffs. Com o tempo, comecei a pensar em termos de sinergias e flexibilidade. Hoje, meu jogo é muito mais adaptativo. Leio a regra da batalha, vejo o histórico do oponente e monto meu time com base nisso. Dou muito mais valor pra habilidades como Thorns, Reflection Shield, Rust, Silence, Cleanse, Oppress... coisas que antes eu nem notava.

Além disso, com a chegada de novas expansões como Chaos Legion, Riftwatchers e Rebellion, o meta mudou totalmente, e aprendi a sempre pensar em custo-benefício. Às vezes, uma carta barata bem posicionada ganha o jogo. E outra coisa: aprendi a usar cartas de aluguel como parte da minha estratégia. Não é vergonha nenhuma alugar uma carta chave pra subir no ranking ou completar uma missão diária. É inteligência de jogo.

Quais são meus objetivos no Splinterlands hoje?

Hoje, meus objetivos são bem claros e divididos em três frentes:

1. Competitivo

Quero manter uma performance sólida nas ligas em que jogo, principalmente Gold e Diamond, e me preparar bem pros torneios e brawls de guilda. Gosto de ver a evolução do meu deck e comparar com a galera que tá no topo.

Uma das minhas metas é formar um time meta competitivo focado em algumas regras de batalha específicas. Já tenho builds sólidas para “Equalizer”, “Stampede” e “Silenced Summoners”, mas tô sempre buscando melhorar, seja com cartas novas, com runas (quando disponíveis) ou simplesmente otimizando posicionamento.

2. Conteúdo

Meu objetivo com o canal e o blog é transformar minha jornada em conteúdo útil e acessível. Mostrar que dá pra jogar sem ser um "baleia", que dá pra se divertir e aprender estratégia num jogo blockchain. Tento sempre traduzir o complexo em algo didático, sem perder o lado divertido.

E claro, quero ser referência pra quem tá começando agora e se pergunta: “Vale a pena jogar Splinterlands hoje?” A resposta é sim, se você souber onde está se metendo e jogar com estratégia.

3. Evolução do Patrimônio no Jogo

Esse é um ponto que muita gente ignora, mas eu gosto de acompanhar: o crescimento do meu portfólio dentro do Splinterlands. Faço planilhas, acompanho o retorno em SPS, DEC, cartas valorizadas, e uso isso pra tomar decisões de reinvestimento.

Outro aspecto que estou trabalhando atualmente em termos de renda passiva é a questão das "lands", mas ainda algo que comecei a pouco tempo, estou buscando entender formas de potencializar isso dentro do game, claro que valor dos tokens caíram muito mas ainda proposito no projeto.

Estou sempre de olho no mercado de cartas e nos movimentos da comunidade Hive, especialmente as atualizações que impactam o valor das cartas ou da economia do jogo. Quero que, no futuro, minha coleção seja uma fonte constante de renda passiva, seja via aluguel ou valorização dos ativos.

Então! é isso pessoal, "splinterlands", pra mim, é mais que um jogo. É um laboratório de estratégia, uma forma de investir com diversão e uma fonte de aprendizado constante. E mesmo que o jogo mude com novas edições, tokens ou mecânicas, o que não muda é esse É a perspectiva de sempre querer jogar melhor.
