Dreemport , GoBrunch Challenge - Week 2

Thank you to all who joined the GoBrunch Expo and shared their experience with all.

As it may have been a bit overwhelming for some, we are grateful for those who joined in the experience.

For week 2 we will bringing it home a bit.

Week 2 - Invite us

This week for those who accept, it will be your objective to create an invite and pitch for your very own project, business, interest presentation.

As this is a prelude to Week 3, your invite will be an application to the Dreemport Dreemshare event.

There are many ways to use GoBrunch and for those who fear they just won’t be able to or don’t wish to present over voice or video, we hope you will give it a try but rooms can be informative also and have text chat available.

For now, focus on Week 2 all the rest will fall in place.

So to reiterate, this week we will be creating an invite post that will let everyone know why they should come to your GoBrunch space. Be it a project idea, business offer, or just an interest you would like to share. Be creative and entice everyone.

This Challenge will be available from Monday 17 June to Thursday 20 June.

You can focus on thinking of something you would like to present and how to pitch that as an invite, I think the hardest part for many would be to just find something they think is "good enough".

Definitely, everyone is free to join but do keep in mind what you invite us to will become a room at the event , but we will help when we get there, for now focus on an idea you would like to share and invite us to learn more about it.

We are looking at giving everyone a room since Dreemport has a Tier 3 account which allows more freedom on making it look nice , for now just focus on your invite and the topic :)

The topic would be anything you would like to present or draw attention to, maybe a business idea, or just a hobby you like and think others might find interesting. If you have trouble with thinking of something , feel free to brainstorm in the discord I am sure together we can think of something for everyone.

Yes you can always use your own room but since the free tier only allows 6 people at a time and minimal customization we will be setting up rooms from the dreemport account likely so people may add custom background etc. For now just focus on your topic and invite :)

It is an invite/pitch post for your own "presentation" , so if you had a market stall or event you wanted people to join where you present something , the post will be that "advert"

No need for an invite link yet, since I am aiming to have this be similar to the expo with rooms we will still give access to rooms where everyone will have a chance to set it up , for now it is just the pitch/invite , you can just say "to be announced" :)

Dreemport, GoBrunch Week 2 Challenge ~ Update

It seems that in an attempt to not confuse with too much information about week 3 of our GoBrunch challenge.

I have inadvertently given too little information about this weeks challenge.

How does it work?

To start, everyone is invited to participate. This weeks challenge only requires a post that serves as an invite to your own presentation.

You can think of it as an "advert" , give just enough to let people know what you will wish to talk about or show them and why they should visit your presentation.

Make a pretty "flyer" , and of course some substance with a good pitch.

Questions?

  • Do I need my own GoBrunch room?
    No you won't need your own but you are free to use your own if you like.
  • When should I say is my presentation?
    You can just say "Next week ~ To be announced"
  • If I create an invite do I need to be present for the presentation day?
    Not necessarily, we will be working with everyone to make a room that suits them.
  • When will the Dreemshare event be?
    Most likely on Friday the following week, once we have aggregated all the invites then we will confirm times for the majority to be available.

Feel free to ask any questions below and I hope this clarifies a few things.

I mean that even if you might not be able to present live in your room , it should not keep you from creating an invite, since I imagine some would not want to purely because they might not be able to do voice or even be present during the event. So that should not be a concern.

If you would like to share about music then sure, but think of it as a value share, so I don't think something like "my favourite songs" is all that valuable to others, But maybe how to make your own songs with AI or tools you use to discover or make or build playlists ... So more "useful" or "tutorial" like usually fits well for presenting to others.
