Living Simply and Working Hard: Our Humble Journey as a Farmer and a Freelancer Couple

Life in the province may be simple, but it is full of meaning and blessings. My husband is a farmer and I am a freelancer. Together, we work hard and dream of a peaceful and contented life surrounded by nature and the fruits of our labor. 🌿

My husband is a college graduate, but his heart belongs to the farm. He has always loved planting, taking care of animals and living close to the land. Some people may not understand why he chose this path, for me, I admire him even more for following his passion. I am very supportive of his dream because I know that it gives him happiness and purpose.

We decided to invest in something that will last a lifetime a piece of farmland. We worked hard to pay for it, little by little. After every harvest, we would save what we could. When we finally finished paying for the land, we bought a carabao to help with the work in the fields. Later on, after another harvest, we were able to buy a cow. These small achievements may seem simple, but for us, they mean so much, they are proof of our hard work, patience and teamwork as husband and wife.

Being a freelancer is not always easy. There are times when I get tried of staying up late or working long hours online. But whenever I think of my husband working under the sun tilling the soil and caring for the animals, I find strength and motivation to continue. We both have different kinds of work, but our goals are the same, to build a better and simple life for our family.
It was supposed to be a car, but my husband really wanted this Ford Tractor, haha! Now I’ve even learned to drive it, because sometimes when he’s not around, I need to park it myself.

When I have free time, I collect firewood and small bamboo sticks for cooing. It helps us save money on gas, even in small ways. Simple things like this remind me how fulfilling our humble farm life in.
Farm life teaches us many lessons. It teaches us patience’s, faith and gratitude. Every see we plant reminds us that everything takes time. Every harvest reminds us to be thankful and very challenge reminds us that success comes to those who never give up.

Our life may not be perfect, but it is real and full of love. We may not have much, but we have peace, hard work and dreams, and for us that is more than enough. Lets share kindness every day! Have a nice day everyone! 💚
