From Garden to Plate: A Morning Harvest and a Comforting Breakfast

Hello, my dear Hivers! I hope everyone’s doing well and finding peace in your own life today.
This morning, I woke up earlier than usual, even though I was still a bit tired from my graveyard shift, to check on my backyard garden. I wanted to see what vegetables were ready to harvest.

To my joy, I found some okra and eggplants that looked fresh and healthy. I picked a few and thought about what to cook for breakfast. Since I was crying something tasty, I decide to prepare okra and eggplant with bagoong. I also fried some dried fish and sliced tomatoes and onions. Then, I squeezed calamansi over the bagoong to make it more flavorful. This is my comforting food I always want to prepare and eat.

While cooking the smell of the food filled the kitchen and I already knew I would eat a lot of rice. The combination of freshly picked vegetables, dried fish and bagoong made my breakfast perfect. It was a simple meal, but it felt so satisfying.

Moments like this remind me how nice it is to grow your own vegetables. Even after a long and tiring night at work, being able to harvest food from your garden gives you peace and joy.

Thank you for reading my garden story. I hope you enjoyed it! I’m excited to visit your garden too and see what you’ve harvested. Have a nice day, Lets share kindness everyday.🌿🍃🍀
