Choosing Motherhood Every Day: How I put My Child First, even in the Middle of Chores and Works and Farm Life
Hello everyone! Wishing you all a beautiful day filled with love and happiness everyday! Motherhood is a journey full of love, sacrifice and everyday choices. As a mom, a farmer and someone who works online, my days are always busy. There’s no shortage of things to do, farm work, online tasks and household chores like washing clothes, cleaning and cooking meals.
But every single day, I make one thing clear to myself: my child comes first no matter what.
There are times I leave the laundry for later, let the dirty dishes sit or skip sweeping the floor, just so I can focus on bringing my child to school from Monday to Friday, being present and enjoying these moments while my little one is still small. I know this stage wont last forever. Someday, my child will have more friends, spend less time with me, and not call “Mama” every few minutes. That’s why I make the most of it now.
Moments in School
One of the memorable things I see in school is when they have earthquake drills, For the teachers, it’s serious training, but for the kids, it’s just another fun game. They giggle and laugh not realizing yet what it’s really for it. Watching their innocence makes me smile and remember. “Children remind us that even serious moments can be lighter when seen through their eyes.”
Feeding Program
Every day, the school has a feeding program with the support of DSWD, Parents have a schedule for preparing meals from the ingredients provided, canned goods, Chicken meat, vegetables, pancake, eggs, milk, rice and bread.
When it was my turn, I wanted to make it even healthier. I bring fresh calamansi from our backyard and made calamansi juice for the children. The smiles on their faces were priceless! They happily eat every bite and drink juice until the last drop.
After the meal, all the kids brushed their teeth together. It’s such a simple thing, but it teaches them discipline and the importance of taking care of themselves.
My Realization as a mom
Walking my child to school, picking them up, and joining school activities have given me a lot of time to think. I used to work in the corporate world, wearing executive attire, meeting deadlines and earning a stable income. But I gave that up for this life.
Not everyone will make the same choices and not all of us have the same opportunities. But for me, this path is worth it. Seeing my child’s smile, Enjoyed with friends, watching them grow and being there for the, every day is a reward that no paycheck ca replace.

Thank you for reading and supporting my story. Chores can wait but my child’s childhood can’t. Motherhood is about love, presence and memories that last a lifetime. Motherhood is loving our child so much that even we're tired, busy or overwhelmed, we still choose them first in every single time. God bless us all.
Apoyo lo que dices, un amigo lo decía de esta manera, los oficios y el trabajo siempre estarán allí, el que se desgasta es uno. La presencia de una madre marca la diferencia en la sociedad.
You're right! Work will be always there, but it's us who get worn out. A mother presence truly makes a lasting difference in society.
