Camote Delight: A Simple and Comforting Homemade Treat Made With Ube Milk and Cheese for Everyone

Today, I’m excited to share one of my favorite budget friendly Filipino snacks – Camote Delight. This dessert is very easy to make, requires only few ingredients and is perfect for anyone who loves sweet and creamy treats. What I love most about this recipe is how simple the process is, from washing the camote to adding the final cheese toppings.

To start, I prepared the camote (sweet potatoes) by washing them thoroughly under running water. This step is important because camote usually has soil on the skin, so make sure to clean it well. After washing, I peeled the camote using a simple peeler. The color of the fresh orange camote already made me excited for the final dessert.

Once the camote was peeled, I sliced it into medium-sized pieces so it would cook faster and more evenly. Then I placed the slices in a pot. Added enough water to cover them, and boiled the, until they became soft and tender. You can check by poking them with a fork, if it slides easily, they’re ready.

After boiling, I drained the water and transferred the camote into a bowl. While still warm, I smashed them gently using a fork. The texture becomes smooth and creamy perfect for mixing.

Next comes the fun part, adding the flavor. I poured in ube condensed milk, which gave the mixture a beautiful brownish - purple color and a rich sweet taste. I mixed everything well until the camote and ube condense blended smoothly.

After mixing, I transferred the Camote Delight into a small container and leveled the top. To finish it, I added cheese topping, which give a salty contrast to the sweetness, simple but delicious.

Thank you for reading and supporting my story, this is my owned picture, Edited in Canva. This Camote delight is very affordable and perfect for snacks or dessert. Try it at home and enjoy a comforting treat made with love.
wow.... my favorite.. actually, I just made kamote delight last Saturday.. but I didn't use the ube condensed milk.. I used the regular one.. this is interesting,, I want to try this, too.. 😆
Thanks for the idea.. 😁
Yes sis, but in actual the color of this is something brownish purple, because of the orange color of camote and ube condensed. It's nice when purely white camote to achieve color ube. 🙂 Perfect for snacks and coffee partner.
Ok,,, I'll take note of it...
Thank you so much.. 🥰
