Bringing Our Favorite Plants Together to Create Joy, Unity and Bright Moments in Community

I hope everyone is having a bright and wonderful day filled with positive energy! Today. I’m excited to share a heartwarming story from our small but joyful community – simple act of bayanihan that brought us together in such a meaningful way.

In our chapel, we decided to start a mini community activity that’s both fun and inspiring “ Bring Your Favorite Plant Day.”

Yes, you read that right, they don’t need the biggest, rarest or most expensive plant. All we wanted was something they love, something that makes us smile every morning, or a plant that remind them of home. That’s the beauty of it, every plant come with a story.

And to make everything a little more exciting, we added a fun twist: Bring a plant, and your get 3 kilos of rice!

Its our simple way oof saying thank you and also encouraging more members to join. You know how it is even simple excitement. Makes happy and lively for all.

But beyond the fun and the rice, there’s something deeper we all learned:

Community works best when everyone shares something. Even the smallest plant, when placed together with others, can brighten a space.

BAYANIHAN is about heart, not size. When everyone gives a little, together we create something beautiful. The plants were simple but the spirit of unity was truly priceless.

This activity was also timely because we are expecting a special visitor in our chapel soon, we wanted the place to look pleasant, peaceful and lively, even with just small and simple plants. And guess what? It turned out wonderfully beautiful, all because the community worked hand in hand.

This experience reminded us that joy grows anywhere, when people care, share and come together with genuine hearts.
