A Simple Resort Celebration: Family Bonding, Homecoming and the 2nd Wedding Anniversary of My Sister-in-law and brother-in-Law
Yesterday was a beautiful day for our Family. A celebration of 2nd wedding anniversary pf my sister-in-law Kim and Brother-in-law Zon, At the same time, it was also a celebration of my Soldier brother-in-law Cris homecoming. He was assigned to a far place, and finally he came home. Because of this double reason to celebrate, we decided to spend the day together in a nearby resort.
Honestly, it was not a big or long-planned event. Everything was simple and last minute. But it turned out so meaningful. My husband grilled chicken and duck and Kim bought a cake. I Think nowadays, no celebration feels complete without a cake, right? That sweet treat made the day extra special especially for the kids who couldn’t wait to taste it.
We traveled to the resort riding only a tricycle and a top down Motorcycle. It was a simple ride, but full of excitement. The children were so happy talking about swimming and enjoying themselves, and their joy became our joy too.
When we arrived at the resort, we were welcomed by a peaceful place. It was quiet, fresh and very clean. The moment I saw it. I felt relaxed. My husband’s family was all there, and I could see the happiness on their faces. We took pictures around the swimming pool, capturing smiles and laughter that I will treasure forever.
I feel blessed to have in-laws who treat me as one of their own. Y husband’s family is very supportive. Every gathering with them feels light and happy. They always make me feel comfortable and included, and I am grateful to share moments like this with them.
By 5:30 in the evening, we had our early dinner together. Eating together while celebrating the 2nd wedding anniversary of Kim and Zon was so heartwarming. I couldn’t help but feel grateful for this moment.
Even though we were at the resort, I still brought my laptop with me. That’s the beauty of flexible work from home life, I can balance work and family.
After dinner, we all enjoyed singing with the vediokey. The place also had a complete kitchen with cooking tools, so it really felt like home.
The kids, of course, had the most fun. They swim even at night, their laughter echoing around the pool.
Watching them enjoy so much reminded me of now important it is to give children these happy memories.
What I realized yesterday is the celebrations don’t need to be expensive to be meaningful. Love, togetherness are what truly make an occasion special. Life is short, we don’t always get the chance to be complete as a family, especially when one of us works far away, just like Cris. That’s why every moment together feels precious. These events are actually big blessings.
Treasure your family and the time you spend together. Don’t wait for perfect plans, happiness is found in the simplest celebrations, in the smiles of your loved ones and in the memories we build together.
