A walk through the small town where I spent my childhood

My Wednesday walk begins in my hometown. I'll start with one of our famous songs and many will agree that it's most beautiful in the city where you were born, where you grew up and had your first love.
It's spring there.
The most beautiful colors are there.
There is the homeland
There are my thoughts
I could write about my city for days. Namely, it is a small city in the south of Serbia. I spent my childhood and youth here and it was really great. Life was very good and nice. And when the crisis hit my country, young people started leaving en masse for bigger cities and abroad.Such a small town and it had the most factories and everyone was employed, but now none of them are working.What is characteristic of my city is that small houses built in the 19th century, located in the city center, have been preserved. Everything has changed, but they have remained. They have been renovated a little, but they have kept their shape



My town is Surdulica. As soon as I arrived in the very center where the cafes are, my friends were waiting for me. Of course, everyone here knows each other.My city is best known for its good, kind, hospitable people. Several nations live here because we are close to Kosovo and Bulgaria, so there are quite a few of them. Of course, everyone lives in harmony.


The town has several schools, kindergartens, an excellent hospital and a sanatorium for lung patients, where there is also a home for the elderly. It has one cinema, a library, two hotels, a post office and several banks.Not to forget, it has its own football club RADNIK, municipality, many boutiques and markets.






It has four hydropower plants and a lake and the river VRLA, which is really small now, but when there is an overhaul, it knows how to fill its bed. Every summer, the VLASINSKO LETO manifestation trumpeter event takes place in the city and lasts for three days. It's really nice to go out in the city at night because it's quiet and pleasant. We used to walk there, the streets were full, but now they are full of cafes






I spent the day walking around my city and enjoying it, it seems to me that I breathed with full lungs
