Why Consistency Beats Speed In Building Wealth

Consistency is the goal.

Have you heard the story of someone who just hit a jackpot or won a bet worth millions of dollars or hit a trade and get rich overnight?

It's tempting to think that the path of success happens overnight but that is not true. When it comes to build your way lasting wealth, it comes with a lot of hard work, patience and consistency which is way more important than speed. When you give yourself time to grow steadily, it is not just safer, it is smarter and it is a kind of wealth that makes you feel good and not toxic.

Picture this, you are a farmer and you are planting a tree. You don't dig a hole, toss in a seed and expect it to just grow over in just a day. You water it each day, you nurture it and give it time to grow strong roots. Wealth is the same way. Wash it to make it a business. It's like chasing money that shows up fast but disappear within a blink of eye.

That is the kind of money that does come with stress and allow you to make bad decisions and going through the shady shortcuts. This is what I call a toxic wealth.

True wealth is built brick by brick over time. It is the kind that comes with peace of mind. It is a joy of learning you earned it right away. A success that comes with hard work. Society loves to push us into a race that we are not ready yet. The pressure is too much to make it big at an early age and many of us rush into doing things that do not align to our personality or goals.

You see your friend driving a new car or posting a vacation pic from one of the best places in the world. You might see them in a big country, maybe Dubai or Singapore and suddenly you feel like your life is no more growing as planned.

That CEO mate someone says nudging you is now making you compete and compare yourself. Don't let that pressure make you take a risk that you cannot recover from or make you go. That's the belief that you have.

Don't let that drive you to do whatever you want. Step by step. That this is what you must achieve and you're not they are not based on up to the likes of Alinco Dangote, Elonk Musk and most of the richest people in the world. They are still below them way, far below them.

You have someone richer than you, there must be someone richer than you, whether you like it or not, so why play the competition game all the time, you can never win in that competition. It's a game that you can never win, someone will always be better than you.

No matter how rich you are your journey is yours alone and it's okay to take your time. Consistency means showing up every day without fainting, saving little by little, building the skills little by little, investing wisely growing your business or your side hustle. It's not about the glamorous lifestyle but you have to think it saving some cash monthly, that is not a lottery win but it is straight and it is yours.

Take someone like Warren Buffett who builts his billions by sticking to the same boring investment principle for decades, even though he felt like giving up, he still had to push and keep investing. Speed didn't make him rich, it was consistency that did.

Right now ignore those hype of overnight. Don't let that word or phrase see your mates make you to feed more or less of yourself, keep planting the seed, keep watering them daily and throughout the process and one day you take it with a good food and you'll be happy you remain patient.

Stay consistent, stay patient and work. Watch your dream grow taller than you ever imagined. Your future self will thank you for being patient and consistent with your life and also rushing to the fastest way to make money in life.

Every trees has it life cycle, from seedlings to when it starts bearing fruits, not magic at all. It is always so unfortunate that most of the people that win a jackpot will go broke in a blink of an eye. But you see when it pass through hard-work, it will last. And this kind of rich do not become a problem.

I feel the power of consistency is underrated especially in this generation. Whatever you plan to achieve in life, the plan is to keep going after it day and night with all you’ve got.
