Evening To Morning, Darkness To Light.
Genesis 1:5
God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day.
The of way of God creation is that, there was evening first and then comes morning.
In the scripture above, The bible never said that the morning and the evening were the first day. God was deliberate about the fact that he has designed for men to always go from evening to morning, which is from darkness to light.
So many people live their lives in reverse. They are too comfortable with darkness and are too suspicious of light. Anything that wants to take them from darkness to light will strike a debate in them.
John 3:19 talks about these people with this kind of mindset.
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.
This kind of mindset also controls what their expectations would be. They would rather anticipate sickness rather divine health, failure instead of extraordinary success, and worsening bad circumstances instead of continual improvement. All this is the morning to evening mindset, a situation where people expect things to move from good to worse.
But is telling us today to leave the morning to evening mindset, and embrace the evening-to-morning mindset.
1 Peter 2:9 said,
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.
You are already chosen to show forth the praises of God because he called us out of darkness into marvelous light. You have move out of sickness into health, out of challenges into breakthrough. The world will see that you are different and unique, royal, and ordained by God, and your life will continually improve, shinning brighter day by day.
As a believer, you have to wake up each morning expecting better things to always happen to you, and pray for success in every area of your life, both in your relationship, business, career, children and ministry.
Embrace that your identity as it is described in 1 Thessalonians 5:5:
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.
Amen.
