There are some moment in my life where I just sit down to reflect and come to realization.
I have discovered that the hardest habits are always the ones that change your life. This is like doing the hard things to get the easy life.
Life has it's own way of always pulling us into different directions everytime.
We all aim to be consistent, but we find ourselves getting caught up by distractions we didn't plan for. This is where procrastination sets in. We deceive ourselves by postponing that is supposed to be done immediately to another, but the time seems not be out reach as we keep postponing it.
When you find yourself always procrastinating, it takes away our confidence and promotes incompetence and inadequacy.
I have discovered that acknowledging those simple skills can really complement our expertise and can really go a long way. These are the skills that distinguishes the average from the high achievers.
Scheduling Detox Days
Another habit that can also be of help is by having a schedule for regular detox days.
Sometimes we just have to take a break from screen time so that we can connect to nature, renew our mind and attract fresh energy.
When you start your day by detoxing yourself each week, this allows you to be creative in thinking and the reflection without the continuous checking of notification on phone and the excitement that comes from scrolling on social media.
And also you have to also take at least an hour each day for learning. All this practice will facilitate your growth and keep you focus and sharp always.
If you can read, take online courses, listen to podcasts, watch educative videos on YouTube, just do it. You just have to choose the topics that aligns with your career, your goals and aspirations.
In all, the goal is to create balance between life, purpose and ambition. Dream big, stay focus, avoid distraction and put in the work.
