Unkempt but happy! Enjoying the joy of being children. ENG-ESP

Nothing makes me happier than seeing children having fun and playing outdoors, feeling safe and free to run, to imagine, to create and explore. It is simply a wonderful scene, which even takes me back to the best time of my life, my childhood.

Angel, my 04 year old son, has the joy of living with his cousins, of similar ages, he is the youngest of all, and therefore, sometimes it is not so easy for him, but despite the typical arguments between children, jealousy and tears, they spend very happy moments and I am very grateful that my son can live this.

Nada me hace más feliz que ver a los niños divirtiéndose y jugando al aire libre, sintiéndose seguros y libres de correr, de imaginar, de crear y explorar. Es simplemente una escena maravillosa, que incluso me hace recordar en la mejor época de mi vida, mi infancia.

Angel, mi hijo de 04 años, tiene la dicha de convivir con sus primos, de edades cercanas, él es el menor de todos, y por ende, a veces no es tan fácil para él, pero a pesar de las discusiones típicas entre niños, los celos y las lágrimas, pasan momentos muy felices y agradezco mucho que mi hijo pueda vivir esto.

In the last few months, I have been busier than before and it had been a long time since I took the kids outside to play, although they go out almost every afternoon with their grandmother and aunts, while I stay at home working, my son missed going with me, finally I was able to please him and we had an incredible time.

The children were very excited when I invited them to go out, they ran out to get their skateboard, the ball and everything they could, the good thing about our urbanization is that we have three small squares for the children to play quietly, of course always under our supervision, we do not leave them alone for a moment.

En los últimos meses, he estado más ocupada que antes y tenía mucho tiempo que no llevaba a los niños a jugar afuera, aunque ellos casi todas las tardes, salen con su abuela y sus tías, mientras yo me quedo en casa trabajando, mi hijo extrañaba ir conmigo, al fin pude complacerlo y la pasamos increíble.

Los niños se emocionaron mucho cuando los invite a salir, salieron corriendo a buscar su monopatín, la pelota y todo lo que pudieron, lo bueno de nuestra urbanización es que tenemos tres plazoletas para que los niños jueguen tranquilos, claro siempre bajo nuestra supervisión, no lo dejamos solos ni un momento.

Everyone has their favorite, so it's time to please them all and we go to each one for a while. In one of them, there is a very beautiful tree and I didn't know that now they like to climb on it. My little boy likes to look for treasures in the ground and always starts digging in the hope of finding something, although now, he doesn't do it as much as before, because of his eye problem, we still don't know if he is allergic to dust, however, I let him play in the ground for a while, as long as he has his glasses on and I wash his hands right away.

This afternoon the kids played with the ball and I was also their fire station, they would climb on my back and run off when there was an emergency and come back to me. Then we played hide and seek. Every time I go with them, Angel asks me to play too and I do it, it's good exercise and I have fun, but I can't hide with him as he would like, because I have to be aware of where each one of my nephews is.

Cada uno tiene su favorita, así que toca complacerlos a todos y vamos un rato a cada una. En una de ellas, hay un árbol muy hermoso y yo no sabía que ahora les gusta trepar en él. A mi niño le gusta mucho buscar tesoros en la tierra y siempre comienza a excavar con la esperanza de encontrar algo, aunque ahora, no lo hace tanto como antes, por el problema de sus ojos, aún no sabemos si es alérgico al polvo, sin embargo, lo dejo jugar un rato en la tierra, siempre y cuando lleve los lentes puestos y le lavo las manos de inmediato.

Esta tarde los niños jugaron con la pelota y también yo fui su estación de bomberos, se subían en mi espalda y salían corriendo cuando había una emergencia y volvían a mí. Después jugamos al escondite. Cada vez que voy con ellos, Angel me pide que yo juegue también y yo lo hago, me sirve de ejercicio y me divierto, eso sí, no puedo esconderme con él como él quisiera, porque debo estar pendiente de dónde está cada uno de mis sobrinos.

It was running very windy and the kids were all tousled and sweating like never before, they played too much and the best thing is that they were all in a good mood, when they were exhausted, they stopped running and played ice cream parlor, another little friend joined the group and they had fun in the guardhouse, with an old pay phone that is still there.

Without a doubt, it was a spectacular afternoon, which not only served me to spend quality time and share with the kids, but to see and be amazed at how much my son has grown. He is now more adventurous, more adventurous and enjoys himself much more.

Estaba corriendo mucho viento y los niños se despeinaron todos y sudaron como nunca, jugaron demasiado y lo mejor es que todos estaban de buen humor, cuando se agotaron, dejaron de correr y jugaron a la heladería, otro amiguito se unió al grupo y se divirtieron en la garita de vigilancia, con un antiguo teléfono público que aún está ahí.

Sin duda, fue una tarde espectacular, que no solo me sirvió para pasar tiempo de calidad y compartir con los niños, sino para ver y asombrarme de lo mucho que ha crecido mi hijo. Ahora está más arriesgado, más aventurero y disfruta mucho más.

They say that children don't play like they used to, because they only have a screen in front of them, but that's not true. If we adults press the off button on those devices, at least for a while, they will do what they do best, what they have the right to do, play freely and be children.

Dicen que los niños no juegan como antes, porque solo están con una pantalla enfrente, pero eso no es cierto. Si los adultos oprimimos el botón de apagado de esos dispositivos, al menos por un rato, ellos harán lo que mejor saben hacer, lo que tienen derecho a hacer, jugar libremente y ser niños.
