My First Crochet Jumpsuit

#needlework

“Not in the sense of “oh my God will I be able to finish this “ but in the sense of “I pray I don't get bored in the middle of this project” yep, I said it.

Did I mention this is step one of the project. This is meant to be a jumpsuit and I'll definitely send it in here when I'm done with the full fit”

Remember this project. Yeah I got to complete it. After making the trouser part trust me I was wishing that was all that the client ordered but yeah I had to finish this up so yeah. Beautiful ladies and gentlemen the second part.

One thing I want to achieve in my crochet journey is being able to make outfits that can be worn both ways ergo eliminating all joining that can possibly create a need for the right side and the wrong side of the outfit and it took a while but yeah I think I got a hang of it for thus particular outfit.

When I finished the trouser part I got straight into making the top side. I spent a long time trying to figure out where I'll join the yarn and where I'll start from and after loads of calculations and Dramatic pauses I figured it out.

I joined my yarn to the side and made a few rows and it came out nice so I went with it. The second issue I had was the bra part.

Like I said I didn't want to make it then join it to the top so I just crocheted it at once. I made a bra top separately and I was like naaa.

Then I flogged the entire thing and started the bra cup all over again.

I did both sides then added rows of cream to give more coverage to the girl that'll wear it.

And yeah it came out real nice. I sent him the finished project and he loved loved it.

Did I have my doubts when I was making this whole outfit? Yes absolutely I did. I have never made a jumpsuit especially one this complicated so yes deep down I was praying that it doesn't flop when I finish.

Second was if they would love the finished project.
As much as I pride myself in my work, if the client honestly doesn't like it, the aim of the whole process is gone instantly.

Did I lose the vibe to make this? Absolutely I got bored while making this but I kept on going so at some point it was no more fun to make. I just had to do it since I have to deliver as promised.
All my fears and back pain were compensated with the lovely review my client and his girl gave me.

Trust me the back pain and everything went away. I decided to post about this today because I mostly talk about the sweet rosy and fun part of this but most days this happens and you gotta keep working.
