Made A Bow For My Niece

Hello guys, my creative needle workers. I hope you all had a splendid day. Today's project is for my niece.

I realized I have not made her a headpiece in a long time so I decided to make her this bow. My niece is dark skinned so I decided to go with a light color.

She loves head pieces and also touches them a whole lot while they are on her head, which is pretty cute to look at.

Last set I made for her was about a year or two ago because I’ve mostly been making bags and mini bags for her and I kind of forgot there was this too, so this is me making up for it right now.

I went on Pinterest earlier to look up cute crochet pieces for kids and I saw this crochet bow.

Well that one was brown so I had to use a different color for her so it’ll stand out in her outfits and I’m not really a fan of using dull colors to make things for baby’s except they are light skinned (as in very fair, with a stress in the very) that’s the only way a dark shade would blend. That’s my point of view though.

After seeing that now I knew I had to make it for her. It clicked like one of those things you see and just know that you have to do it whenever you can. And I was free at the time so why not.

Had to go search for my bag of spare yarn since I was at home and not at the shop. And when I found it I grabbed my 4.0mm hook

(this hook might be secretly begging me to spare its life because I use it a lot and honestly I’m starting to pity the baby 😂😂).

Anyways after that I went straight to making this cute piece. I made the base first.

I didn’t want the bow to be light so instead of making the one sided one I made it go round so it’ll be a bit thick.

Went on to make the things in the middle (I honestly tsp not know what it is called but hopefully someone here will tell me).

I went on to make the other part of the bow. I didn’t want it too long so it want stay on her body or face else she’ll get uncomfortable so moderate length is what I went for.

Last part was trimming off the excess yarn that was sticking out so bad and I’m wondering why I made it that long in the first place.

But yeah I love this pattern and I hope you do too.

I can’t wait to see the excitement on her face when I give it to her.

I imagine how beautiful your niece is going to look with this bow, you chose a color that suits her very well, blue is always a color for all skin tones, in conclusion the bow is beautiful. 😀🤗
