Crochet Ruffle Hat || I Made Reenie Again
#needlework
Hello everyone. I hope you all had a good day. Today I’ll be showing REENIE in a different shade and I think I love this more than the first one I made. (Just saying)
So an old time school mate reached out to me after a i sent a broadcast. That he wanted Reenie but in a different color gradient.
Told him it was totally possible and asked the color he wanted, not lying when he said purple my face lit up (I have always wanted to do this.
More like I’ve always wanted to do something with purple gradient so getting this order felt so amazing).
Fun fact is he was getting this for his sister because she said she liked it when he posted mine on his status. I was really happy.
Got to make the hat and I didn’t really have enough time to make it on a stretch because of the other jobs we had to deliver so I only made the hat when I had free time.
Throughout the process this client did not give me any issues, didn’t switch design in between, in fact I didn’t get any message from him after I texted with pictures of the colors to confirm it before I started.
I got different types of yarn for this because I wanted to try something new.
When I started making this I had a little issue because the yarn was thinner than the way it was the last time I got it and prices had doubled by (x2) so it was really annoying.
Almost made my work come out bad had to use a smaller hook so it won’t really show.
When I finished the top part the ruffles came and it was time to test out my experiment. I got a thicker type of yarn to use for the ruffles. And it came out well, gave the ruffles a more defined look and this shade of purple was really giving…
When I finished the first row of ruffles I was like wow. Went on to the next and at the third row the look started coming out really smooth.
I was so impatient because I wanted to see the outcome of the ruffle hat.
(You know that feeling where your tummy tingles when you think about something exciting… yeah that was me) when I finally finished Gad to send a sample to the client then patiently wait for his response. Lol. I didn’t know if he’ll like it or not.
He texted and said his sister loved it and opted to come pick it up from the store. I’m just happy they liked it as much as I did and I’m happy I can share it here with you.
