Crochet Multicolored Trouser

#needleworkmonday

I believe the last time I made a trouser with these hands of mine was in September 2024 and it was for my Uyo Fashion Week outfit. That was day 1.

Compared to this outfit that one was mesh like since I intended to make it a beachwear/streetwear. Well this is different. Male client reached out and said he wanted to get this for his girl. [If I was single I would have cried a river because my male clients tend to do this a lot. They must be real lucky women]

He said her birthday was approaching and that he wanted to get her something pretty and unique. And as you know that's my second and third name. He talked about the color preferences and her height and also her body size.

The process did make me get very creative because we had a lot to deal with being that this outfit is a surprise.
He could not directly ask her for a full body measurement hence we had to stick to pictures.

He called was it her sister to ask size for her pants [trousers] and tye sister did not have a clue so we came back to square one vin the end I realised I had a mannequin that had this body size and he just told me her height so I can add n subtract where I needed to so it'll be a perfect fit for her.

We settled all we needed to and he finished processing his order and then the work began. There is one thing I don't say enough. As much as I love big projects they scare me.

20241217_155516.jpg

Not in the sense of “oh my God will I be able to finish this “ but in the sense of “I pray I don't get bored in the middle of this project” yep, I said it.

Projects that take time bore me. That's why I can get it done fast. The reason wasn't that I naturally wanted to be a fast crocheter, it's that I did not want to stay on one project too long and risk getting bored of it. [That is losing the vibe to complete it] so I got faster.

Did I mention this is step one of the project. This is meant to be a jumpsuit and I'll definitely send it in here when I'm done with the full fit.

I went yarn shopping very determined to finish this up quickly and I'm not gonna lie. This trouser alone took 3 days. Nooo I didn't work straight hours. I think I did it from 10am to 5pm each day.

Finally got it to this point even with my health messy.lol.
I did send him this sinc3 he wanted to be involved in the whole process and he couldn't wait to see the end project.

I too can't wait to show it to you all. I finished Thai part got it on my mannequin took pictures and my mom was complimenting me the whole time.

This is a list of things I used to make this pretty multicolored crochet trouser

4.0mm hook
Stitch markers
8 40g acrylic yarn
Scissors
Measurement Tape

Ps: these pictures belong to me and we’re taken with my mobile device.
