Book Review: The Psychology Of Money by Morgan Housel

I have a great thing, a huge thing for self help books in my perspective they help me understand myself more, how to get through some situations and also how to stay afloat in most situations so yeah I love them actually

I started this year pretty cute. Not too much, just the right amount of much. Psychology of Money has always been a book that caught my eye. I heard people talk about it, reference it in important topics that had to deal with finance and at the end of the day I said yeah let's do it.

Was I expecting anything in particular ? Maybe, did I already have high hopes for the book? Yes, the references were too good. I was intrigued. Did the book let me down? Nope, not even one bit.

The beginning was cool. The basics, the fundamentals ,talks about luck and risks being two sides of the same coin.
As the name implies, the psychology of Money by Morgan Housel focuses on how to make wise financial decisions, how to save, when to invest, how to invest and also tips to becoming wealthy and not just rich

I got a few things from the book
No one is crazy: everyone does what they think is best in their own situation
One should not be spending in the same way a highly paid individual does. The careers and earnings are different.
To be wealthy you save higher than you spend
Do not invest an amount that couldn't cripple you if lost.

Lastly, wealth at the end of the day is contentment. If a simple lifestyle in your youth can fetch you comfort when you grow old do it! If your savings can fund a future for your kids,do it! If comfort is what you want in the future, save up!

I loved every bit of flipping these pages and learning something new hopefully you do too.

You are right. The title is very catchy. I do avoid catchy titles sometimes. Because, part of making a best selling book is title and cover. So, at times, I look into books that are less know and try to find something interesting.

But, thanks for the brief. I think it is an interesting choice.

Thank youuuuuu. Catchy titles are actually misleading most of the time.
