A childhood bedroom in a Cape Cod home.

**IF you are watching this on plain ole' #hive, it doesn't seem to play the video, it does work on #peakd so Here Is the LINK.

I'm rather frustrated with #speak as I've been using it here lately and today, after my 4th attempt, I still could not get my video uploaded. It's especially frustrating as I've been trying to stick with a 5 day a week upload schedule on #hive. Ah well, then I remembered #dtube !

Addendum: I got #dtube to work but only by linking to my youtube video, while I prefer to upload my videos normally as I did on #3speak. Ah well, we'll see how long this process works, I hope you enjoy the video.

So, I'll try again...

Today's postcard vlog is of my husband's childhood bedroom. Of course it's not decorated as it was when he lived in it as a child and teen, but he did indeed have an anqitue bed and dresser etc. He wasn't allowed to paint or hang posters , just framed art.

Today it serves as a guest room and I love that it has a collection of his mother's antiques (handed down from generations).

The little pram was his great grandmother's and he and his sister used it as well as his mother and grandmother.

I love this house with it's homey Colonial rusticity. It personifes Cape Cod to me, the quaint house full of handed down old pieces sitting in a cottage garden on an idyllic pond. We love spending time here so I hope you like this little visit.

I have to remember to get those pumpkin seeds started soon, as well.

I hope you enjoyed my video and until tomorrow, stay creative.

Looks like a nice day there.

Talking of old houses, a farmhouse in the village is for sale. It dates back to 1610, but has modern conveniences. It must be one of the oldest homes around here, although some of the pubs go back a long way. Our old thatched cottage may only be about 200 years old, but we don't know the exact date.
