This song was written for all the women, children, people, and animals in Iran who have suffered under oppression. It is a cry for freedom, equality, and compassion, a melody that carries the voices of those who have been silenced.

I recently performed Baraye on guitar and decided to share at this week for "Hug Me" subject, not just as a musical piece, but as a heartfelt tribute to the courage of those fighting for their rights. And lets's hug all people in the world.

When Shervin Hajipour first shared Baraye, it quickly became the anthem of the "Women, Life, Freedom" movement. Every line was inspired by real social media posts from Iranians expressing why they long for change from personal freedoms to environmental protection.

By sharing my own rendition, I hope to help spread its message even further. Music has the power to unite us across borders, cultures, and languages — and this song is proof of that power.
