Rice hunting season in Mang Ri

Hi dear Hivers in PhotoFeed community, do you want to go rice hunting with me today? If yes, then get ready, I'll take you to a ripe rice paradise today. It's Mang Ri commune, Dak Glei district, Kon Tum province. It's a mountainous area and home to Xe Dang ethnic minority. By working hard, the local people has created masterpieces on barren and treacherous lands.

To get here I had to drive more than 3 hours, and the road was also very difficult. However, leaving behind the challenges, the golden rice fields are my motivation. Locals live in groups and far apart. They live scatteredly in the Mang Ri valley and earn their living mainly by growing rice. The local people live in groups and I really admire the people there who worked so hard to create the majestic terraces.

I was really overwhelmed by the beauty of the rice fields here. Without the drone, I don't think I would know the limits of these vast rice fields. The river in the middle is like a silk strip woven on a painting with the dominant golden color.

This time of year is probably the happiest time for the local people when they harvest rice. They only grow one rice crop a year, and they will store the rice for one year's use. I easily caught the bustling atmosphere of rice harvest in the fields. Here, people do almost everything by hands. They don't use machines to help them with the harvesting. They often harvest rice in groups, and each of them takes on a separate task during the rice harvest. Although they were working hard, everyone looked happy and excited.

Besides the bustling atmosphere of rice harvest, everything there brought a feeling of peace. I just walked around to explore the area and took photos. Buffaloes leisurely graze on the hills. At the foot of the mountain, the winding stream brings life to the rice fields.
