Explore hidden gem - Nang Tien Waterfall in Son La, Vietnam

avatar

Hi dear Hivers in Pinmapple community, today I would like to take you guys to another hidden gem, which is Nang Tien Waterfall. Nang Tien means fairy. I think the local people name the waterfall fairy because of its beauty. It's truly a fairy sleeping in the forest. Nang Tien waterfall is located in Na Cha village, Chieng Khoa commune, Van Ho district, Son La province. The waterfall is about 25km from the center of Moc Chau, a famous tourist destination in Son La. In addition to beautiful tea hills, persimmon farms, plum flower gardens and pristine villages, Nang Tien waterfall is a destination that you shouldn't miss when you have a chance to travel to this area.

To get to the waterfall from Moc Chau, we have to drive along the national road 43. The road is quite long, but I'm sure that you will never get bored on the whole journey because of many interesting things on the both sides of the road. You can see some small beautiful houses of Thai people, high mountains, vast tea hill and plum flower garden. Especially, you will go through the legendary S-shaped road. It's special because it had the same shape with my country.

Nang Tien waterfall has three levels. Follow me to discover the waterfall from the bottom to the highest level. At the bottom, the winding flow of the stream adds the beauty to the whole area. The local peopl built some small stilt houses near the stream as the stop station for guests to take a rest. My friends and I took a rest at one the stilt houses and have lunch before going explore the waterfall. Sticky rice and grilled pork are popular dishes of the local people, and they are very delicious.

After lunch, we went deep into the forest to explore Nang Tien waterfall. At the first level of the waterfall, the flow of water gently run through rocks, creating natural pool. The water here is so clean and blue because the water is come from the limestone mountains around. What a pity that it was quite cold when I was there, so I didn't jump into the water. I guess it must be wonderful to swim at these blue pools in summer.

At the second level, there is a waterfall falling from a cliff and creating a beautiful pool too. There is a big rock and a tree in front of the fall where tourists can stand on to take nice photos. In addition, we can use a small bamboo raft over there to go near the fall to admire its beauty and take photos with it.

And finally, the third and last level of the waterfall is the most impressive one. It's a 150m high fall. I have no idea where the water comes from, but after many years, the flow of water creates beautiful cliff and pool. From afar, it looks like that the big trees and forest around hug the waterfall. The fall is like a silk stretching on the high rocky outcrop. I was quite overwhelmed with the majestic beauty and the height of Nang Tien waterfall.

Such places that exist are very special and beautiful and it seems that a person has grown up in heaven and some of you are rightly saying that some places that exist are not seen at all before us. When someone tells us that there is such a beautiful place, then when we go there, we get to see a lot of natural scenery.
