Hello friends, welcome back to another of my adventures through the cartoon world of Cuphead, for now this is my second fight against these bosses that each map has, so I recommend you to watch the full video to see the strategy and understand better each technique that I had to master to defeat “Goopy the great”.

But before I left to fight I needed to make a few improvements to Mugman's skills, so I headed to the store of my good porcine friend, who is a helpful but intimidating pig who sells me magic potions.

I shelled out about four gold coins to buy a potion that makes my shots more ineffective at long range, but close to my targets it will prove powerful, as it has an expansive power with each shot.

Now it is time to go into the forest where the fight against “Goopy the Great” will take place.

As this level is only about one character, I thought it would be easy to defeat him, but oh surprise, everything seemed to play against me, because Goopy, despite having a simple movement pattern of consecutive jumps, has several transformations that he takes while the fight goes on, which made it difficult for me to learn each of his behaviors according to each of his phases...

This is Goopy's first phase so far, I found him adorable and even a bit small despite what his name suggests!

It seems that at this point the name of Goopy the “big one” was making more sense, because he started to grow until he became gigantic covering my screen, now the combat movements were almost similar because he was jumping, but I had to be very careful, because he covered more ground and even attacked me with a boxing glove.

The only way to escape Goopy's punches was to duck while I kept shooting at him nimbly.

And when I thought Goopy was already defeated, it turned out he still had a phase hidden up his sleeve, this guy didn't want to die, apparently XD.

Well, I came back from death in the form of a murderous tombstone that wanted to crush me with quick movements, no doubt it was the moment when I was already anxious with every blow I dodged, since I only had one life.

During the previous phases of this boss I was accumulating points and powers for this final moment, so I used them once I had the chance, and you can see them in the red flashes that are scattered around.

With my heart racing, I ended up defeating the dreaded Goopy. Believe me, this game tests one of the most valuable virtues of the human being, “patience” because the repetition factor of dying and trying again is very common in Cuphead.

I almost lasted two minutes defeating this boss, however, in real life it took me almost an hour to learn every attack and movement pattern of Goopy until I managed to master it.

I thank you, if you read or watched the video that helps me a lot, soon I will be sharing more fights against bosses that are crazy hard to defeat!

I've had this game on my list of games to play for probably 10 years. Looks like a lot of fun but I never get around to it.

hahaha the same thing happened to me, but when I decided to start playing it I realized that it has a very distinctive essence of the other games of this genre; however, something that I have to accept is that sometimes it drives me crazy when I die so many times trying to kill the bosses of each level.

I hope you get to try it, every character and animation will transport you to the cartoon era, it's like going back to the old nostalgia!

Too bad this game can only be played on windows and not mobile though, the character wanted to look so much like milky mouse. I love the piggy view though

That Mickey Mouse similarity is very evident, since the developers of the video game wanted to bring together the two things they loved the most, so that's why you'll see that style of animations. It's a shame that you can't play it on your mobile, but if there was a version I think it would be difficult to control because of how fast everything happens in each battle with final bosses.
