A colossal and majestic creature of the ocean was captured for the first time on my canvas - Digital Art

Welcome once again to my art gallery, two days ago I was thinking for a while which would be my new character or creature to draw, and I was captivated by the idea of the fear of the unknown and how this could inspire great works, one of them for me is the ocean and its depths where large and colossal creatures live cautiously waiting for their prey and I thought that "Water Whale" would be perfect for my inspiration, because after all it is a majestic creature that in my opinion controls much of the ocean but in a peaceful way.
So my drawing was inspired by my fear of the unknown that inhabits the ocean, and later you will find out what I mean.

Those who have already seen my previous drawing know that I like to use an intuitive and well-known program that makes the process easier for many digital artists when they are just starting out like me in this art world, so the name of it will be at the end of the post.
Mainly, the curved lines tool is the one I use the most when it comes to easy sketches even the difficult ones because believe me it saves a lot of time and the accuracy of drawing with the mouse improves a lot so I use it little by little until I give the appearance I'm looking for, logically taking the references of the original character who is a whale I started drawing some algae that would be stuck on the top of the whale, since it's emerging from the depths, however, I noticed that they looked more like horns so I still loved the idea of having them...
After a long time of thinking for me they resemble a crown that distinguishes her from the rest of whales, it's as if she were the queen of whales or a powerful species never seen before waiting to be discovered, so I continued drawing the rest.

The rest of the body I started to draw it simpler and without so many details, so it would be easier for me to square the internal lines.

That is, in a few words, once I had the silhouette of the whale I started to think about what the appearance of its fins would be, because if or if I should add a detail that directly had reference to the original creature of holozing, so in its fins I made some styles of patterns with beaks and patches on them that turned out to please me in the end you will see.

Well, after a few long hours of creating or designing the creature, I already had my whale ready to bring it to life through the bright colors... the process that takes me the most time, but that I like the most, because here I decide what visual characteristics it will have.

The first layers of color were relatively simple... as always I was guided by the colors of the original creature which is logically blue all over the skin, but I decided to make it darker, in some areas of the body and lighter in others this will help me to make the work of the shadows easier later.

Something that I definitely managed to notice in "Water Whale" is that his eyes were a pink color that in a gradient of combined colors looks fantastic, however, I was guided to put that color rather for the breastplate of the and part of the fins of the monster that I had drawn.
Instead, I put her eyes in a bright green color that then with some touch-ups they would look fantastic!

Something that I love in drawing is the constant innovation of coloring techniques, so today I decided to better start from the darkest to the lightest parts, that is, from the belly of the whale to the top, giving more and more light to the surface.

I gave her blue skin a few strokes of darker blue that I blurred with the water brush afterwards. For their huge fins I used almost the entire palette of pink, purple and even red for the darker parts.

I also painted her large coral crown, but with lighter and brighter colors, because I'm looking for it to stand out

And finally I gave her green eye more light with the water brush on the edges of her sockets to give that feeling of radiance

Once I had the monster drawing ready in general I couldn't help but sit for a while to contemplate the result and imagine what suitable background or environment could accompany my "Water Whale"...

Because of this I imagined a quiet, pleasant place where you could see the bottom of the sea surrounded by algae and rocks, so I set out to draw it, although I had really never tried to draw ocean bottoms I didn't give up, at first I had no shape just paint some yellow lines for the sand and so on the rest of the environment.

From a simple rock I tried to give the best possible detail to make the background landscape beautiful, so little by little with a lot of patience, because it's my first time painting seabed, I managed to finish the sandy soil.

The bottom of the water I wanted to leave it free to be dazzled only by soft rays of light coming from the sun or the outside world, giving that warm security of daylight at sea.

Once I finished it completely the artistic and colorful style reminded me of a children's story that my mom read to me when I was little and in fact there I basically learned to read and apart from the adventures that she related I love the illustrations of seabeds and other animals the book although I remember it was called "The Dream of the Dolphin", now I understand why I loved the result, because it brought me that nostalgia...
I would really appreciate if you could comment something about it and I thank you for reading to the end, I will come soon with more of my art, I say goodbye, see you soon!

It is a great drawing my brother, and I liked the seabed that you created, it is difficult for me to draw without lines, but you made the seabed without using any line to draw the drawing, that is real art.
Greetings to you

hahaha if it turns out to be something totally different and new for me, because backgrounds that had to do with the sea were difficult for me, even to imagine XD, but I started experimenting with the tool that sharpens the lines and managed to give that effect of waves to the surface, thanks for appreciating my art greetings bro!
