Poor sleep is linked to mood disturbance, and health issues such as heart health! Does it have an impact on "brain age" too?
New research, intending to see the effects of poor sleep on the "brain age," indicates that!
People with the lowest sleep scores had the biggest gap between their brain age and actual age, with brain aging accelerating by about 6 months for every drop in sleep quality score.
It is found that there is, on average, 1 1-year of brain age gap (from the chronological age) in the people with worse sleep scores
