Where Does The Time Go?
Seriously? December Already? It feels like last week I was at HiveFest but I guess the calendar wouldn't lie to me. I've been working with a few different things still and once again most of my time has gone toward SPK Network. I guess we can start there.
SPK Network
Our testnet now has decentralized Proof of Access built in. Our install script took our instructions way down, and completely out of fumbling with transactions to register the new additions to the network. From this point we can test token generation, distribution, file storage and contract management. We also have storage only nodes being released around this time next week to get everybody into the network.
After this portion of the network is stable and we don't see many changes happening, we'll open up the SPK DEX for testing, then release the network at large after our UI is on par with the feature set.
DLUX
There has been quite of bit of movement in the XR industry. Both @markegiles and I have been revisiting some of the frameworks, and testing out new hardware and software. I've managed to import a Quest 3, and play with Aframe 1.5 which has mixed reality support. Expect to see something cool after Christmas :)
Not a whole lot to report on here, we've been smoothing our UI out for SPK network for the most part. One good thing to note is the Vote/Stabilizer/PowerUp bot I've built seems to be working pretty well at this point. Enough so that I've earned my first Power Up Month badge.
I've also set the @dlux-io account to vote with my auto-voter IF and only if it's native vote bot hasn't run in it's last period.
I'll be giving the bot some UI in the coming month and unleashing it so you can also turn HBD payouts into market liquidity. The algo I've come up with seems a little loose, but I take hbdstabilizer's last trade as the correct price and put in a sell HBD order at 99% of that price ($1.01).
Personal Goals
With this December Power Up Day I'm now ~491.054 HP away from my goal of reaching Orca. With my witness, curation, posts, and continuing Power-Up-Month additions I should reach Orca by the middle of the month. For the following year I'm going to dial my Power Up Day down to 1000 HP to get the top level badge. At this rate, if I make proper whale status with my current additions I'll be very sad; it would take 9 years, but if the price is stable for 9 years I'd do more than cry. So I'm just going to be thankful I've managed to make it to this level, with ~$1 votes, and a top 40 witness during the bear market.
Finally. I took my girlfriend to see her favorite artist and ate a few of my favorite foods in Brazil for a weekend trip. That's it from me for this month.

I'm still holding onto my LARYNX Tokens I received for claiming monthly on the SPK Website.

Just yesterday I was wondering how different the new Quest is from the older ones... BTW, some sort of tutorial on how to load 360 photos on DLUX would be useful. I've been trying it lately. With no good result :( Good luck with Orca goal!
The mixed reality on Q3 is an amazing peek at what Apple will be shipping next year. The 360 upload still works, but now has extra steps. We've been transitioning to SPK for file storage, and a new version of the test net is launching next week. Basically to upload files to SPK at this time you need SPK tokens that have been powered up. Those powered up SPK tokens give you a new resource credit called BROCA, which allows you to create file storage contracts. We're still improving the user experience of this and making it less complicated and more obvious. If you're interested we could send you a little SPK to try making a post.
So do you think Apple will be much better than Questa? [or just significantly different?]

Quest 3 seems to be a much more affordable approximation of Apples headset, which has eye tracking and OLED displays like PSVR2. The mixed reality with hand tracking is pretty great on its own though, and gives you an idea of how good the experience can be. It's hard to balance all the material costs, I think the Q3 does it well.
