Friends are our alter egos. I have had my best friend for 5 decades now. We constantly communicate almost every day through Video Calls, Phone calls, or Messages to talk about our everyday happenings. When I take my vacations in my hometown, the first time I do is go to her house which is just a few steps away from our home. We bonded together by going to places we used to visit when we were in our high school days. Hung out to our favorite resto, go shopping or watch movies, or go for a swim in our rendezvous resort. Simply having fun and making up the lost time apart.
I also have had my college close friends for 4 decades now. We continue to communicate and connect every day just like my best friend. When having reunions, I wasn't able to make it when my physically challenged son was still alive. The good thing about having them around, they never fail to extend their hands without asking for it. They had a great deal of helping me out financially with my son's medications. They are my extended family.
I am the only girl among my siblings. Though I am close to my brothers having a sister or sisters is a different thing.
When we walk to our different paths, it does not mean an end to a friendship. Good friends are there to stay forever.

Thank you ma'am for blessing my blog post with your kind words and story. I truly admire the depth and longevity of your friendships. Five and four decades of genuine connection and unwavering support is such a gift. It made me reflect and hope that the friendship I have now will also stand the test of time just like yours. You're blessed to have them but I'm sure they also feel incredibly lucky to have a friend like you. The fact that they help without being asked speaks volumes about the love you also share.

No biggie dear. Real friends are people who will stay with you come high and low waters. They will never leave you, especially in difficult times. That's what friends are for God has given you to help and protect you in any period. They will also teach you lessons for you to learn the facts of life. They are with you when you fall into a puddle; they will reach their hand so you can get out of it. Always treasure a friend when you find the real one. You can only meet the real one by chance.
You will meet some people to teach you lessons. Some will break your heart. Some will stay for a while, but a real friend will stay with you forever come what may. God bless you more.🌷🕊️
