Moloch, a sample of Dutch terror

Greetings to all once again, bringing some recommendation or impression of some interesting series or movies, this day I want to tell you about a horror movie that I really hadn't seen for a long time. “Moloch” is a horror movie, totally Dutch made in the year 2022. It tells a terrifying story about a ritual that is performed in a family for generations.

There is a legend that is rumored in the village and it is about very violent sacrifices that have been performed for hundreds of years. We can find great European actors such as the protagonist Sallie Harmsen who plays “Betriek” and Alexandre Willaume a Danish actor whose character is called “Jonas”.

The film begins with a scene where a little girl is in a kind of basement playing with a little mouse, she was feeding him when suddenly she hears very loud noises on the ceiling of the basement which would be the wooden floor of the house and then starts to run a lot of blood and drips, the girl is terrified and covers her ears. Thirty years go by and it seems that her grandmother died in such a murky and bloody event. Betriek, who is already an adult woman and has a little girl, moves to her parents' house, she is a single mother and wants to start a new life with her parents.

Near this place a man was digging a hole and something appeared to him and he dies immediately, the next morning he is found staring, at the same time a short distance away there is a team of people working on excavations as they have found near the house of Betriek a number of female bodies where all have a vertical wound in the neck, it seems that all died in the same way. Jonas the leader of the excavators meets Betriek and they become good friends, both have a special connection so they enter into conversation and she tells him something like that there is a kind of curse called Feik, in fact, the father of one of those who died digging has consciousness of them.

One night some strange noises began in the house, it was a man who had sneaked in and tried to kill Betriek's mother but his father arrived and finished him off. The case is that they understood that this man is like possessed, many strange things were happening and something more creepy was approaching as indeed that family was under a rite for generations.

Betriek begins to feel and see very murky things, a girl in a hospital sees in a strange way and in an elevator she saw something very terrifying. From here many things happen, one of them is related to the demon Moloch who is the god of sacrifices. There is a being who is behind everything, and explains all the deaths to which all the women of this family were subjected.

At the end not to give you too many details and go to see it, this demon ends with each mother of this family, Betriek's mother was possessed and was stripped of her body that time Betriek was a child in the basement and the one who raised her was this demon, and the same happened to her, at the end of the film there is a scene that the souls of the mothers of this family approach the house and it is seen that the one with the little girl is the demon Moloch.

I like this kind of movies, it is a bit slow yes but the story was quite interesting, and at the same time sad as this entity always got away with it.

I feel it is a bit violent, I do not recommend it for children or at least they should be supervised, I invite you to watch it. The score I give it is an 8/10.
