Hoy vamos a conversar sobre adaptaciones de videojuegos a la pantalla grande, ya sea en serie y películas, este post será dividido en dos, el de hoy será las buenas adaptaciones, y el próximo será de las malas adaptaciones, sin más rodeo les presento una película y dos series de videojuegos que adaptaron a la pantalla grande.
I want to always warn that these posts may contain some spoilers for the series or movies mentioned so you are warned to keep reading and I hope you enjoy the post if you decide to continue. Today we are going to talk about adaptations of video games to the big screen, either in series and movies, this post will be divided in two, today's post will be the good adaptations, and the next one will be about the bad adaptations, without further ado I present a movie and two video game series that adapted to the big screen.
Super Mario Movie
De verdad que esta película para entretener tiene todos los elementos que necesita, desde una animación muy hermosa y llamativa que ayuda a disfrutar mucho la película. La historia que cuenta no es muy “original” o súper pensada pero igual tiene una lógica interesante que también combina mucho con lo que conocemos del videojuego, a mí me encantó pues también el desarrollo de la misma siento que se hizo muy bien.
Truly, this entertaining movie has all the elements it needs to entertain, from a very beautiful and eye-catching animation that helps to enjoy the movie a lot. The story it tells is not very "original" or super thought out but it still has an interesting logic that also combines a lot with what we know from the video game, I loved it because I also feel that the development of it was done very well.
El último elemento que quiero mencionar es la música, que, como todo fan de los juegos de Mario, obviamente es algo muy necesario que se haga bien, y de verdad siento que se logró lo que se quería conseguir, porque no solo fue utilizar música del propio juego en otros estilos, fue utilizar música de los años del juego, 80’s 90’s y así, clásicos de rock que de verdad acompañaron a toda la trama de manera increíble. Lo más inteligente que me gustó de la película es que también se logró atraer a público nuevo a la curiosidad y disfrute de la película y por consecuencia también a los juegos.
The last element I want to mention is the music, which, as any fan of Mario games, is obviously something very necessary to be done well, and I really feel that they achieved what they wanted to achieve, because it was not only using music from the game itself in other styles, it was using music from the years of the game, 80's 90's and so on, rock classics that really accompanied the whole plot in an incredible way. The smartest thing I liked about the movie is that it also managed to attract new audiences to the curiosity and enjoyment of the movie and consequently also to the games.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Esta serie a mi particularmente me partió el corazón en mil pedazos, pero me enamoró desde el principio para hacerme tanto daño. La historia bastante interesante un mundo lleno de mucha tecnología tanto que hay actualizaciones para el cuerpo humano, donde nos agregamos pistolas o accesorios interesantes para lo que necesitemos, con el límite de intentar seguir siendo humanos, que no nos volvamos un robot por completo. No quiero contar mucho la trama solo les diré que es una serie 100/10.
This series to me particularly broke my heart into a thousand pieces, but I fell in love from the beginning to hurt me so much. The story quite interesting a world full of a lot of technology so much that there are upgrades for the human body, where we add guns or interesting accessories for what we need, with the limit of trying to remain human, that we do not become a robot completely. I don't want to tell you much about the plot, I'll just tell you that it's a 100/10 series.
No conozco el juego, pero lo que sí sé es la controversia que trajo cuando salió, pues fue un videojuego que dio la misma expectativa, ser algo increíble y que revolucionaria el mundo de los videojuegos, pero lastimosamente no fue así, esta serie, para completar animada y de Asia, no se basó en nada más que el universo del juego, pero la historia es completamente a parte y solo de la serie. Me pareció una genialidad, la historia de cada personaje es hecha de oro y toda la trama y como se desarrolla es hermoso. La música que lo acompaña a todo toca tu corazón pues transforman el ambiente como debe ser, esta serie es increíble y de verdad fue una increíble idea.
I don't know the game, but what I do know is the controversy it brought when it came out, because it was a video game that gave the same expectation, to be something incredible and that would revolutionize the world of video games, but unfortunately it was not so, this series, to complete animated and from Asia, was not based on anything but the universe of the game, but the story is completely separate and only from the series. I thought it was genius, the story of each character is made of gold and the whole plot and how it develops is beautiful. The music that accompanies everything touches your heart because it transforms the environment as it should be, this series is amazing and it was really an incredible idea.
Arcane
Una serie que hizo explotar a todo fan de League of Legends y logró enamorar a muchos que ni conocían el juego. Actualmente está por salir su última temporada y yo solo quiero más. Como conozco el juego de donde sale, me asusté un poco al principio porque todos los campeones jugables en LoL tienen una historia que ya leímos y contaron, tal vez no completa, pero si una parte, entonces por su puesto esa historia que nos contaron queríamos que la respetaran y la verdad lo hicieron tal cual lo pedimos.
A series that made every League of Legends fan explode and managed to win the hearts of many who didn't even know the game. Currently its last season is about to be released and I just want more. As I know the game where it comes from, I was a little scared at first because all the playable champions in LoL have a story that we already read and told, maybe not complete, but a part of it, so of course we wanted to respect the story that they told us and the truth is that they did it just as we asked.
La animación es una locura de hermosa y logra todos los objetivos con la música, de verdad que yo personalmente por uno u otro motivo termine viéndome toda la primera temporada 3 veces completa y me entretuvo y me emocionó en cada momento. Lo que me hizo darme cuenta que esta serie logró lo que quería, o que definitivamente es una buena serie es que la llegue a ver con personas que ni sabían de la existencia de LoL o por lo menos no lo jugaban, y se emocionaron como yo en todo momento, quedando hasta muy curiosos de más y tal vez con curiosidad de jugar LoL.
The animation is crazy beautiful and achieves all the objectives with the music, I personally for one reason or another ended up watching the entire first season 3 times and I was entertained and excited at every moment. What made me realize that this series achieved what I wanted, or that it is definitely a good series is that I got to see it with people who did not even know of the existence of LoL or at least did not play it, and they were excited like me at all times, being even very curious and perhaps curious to play LoL.
