Streets, Umbrellas, Sepia, Architecture and Branches - Monomad Challenge.
Today I was compiling a series of photos related to different themes, Every time I go on my walks I set aside some particular photos to create something like this. In this set you can see street photography as usual, a little architecture stuff, some reflections, people in their daily lives, rain, drops and anything else that you can appreciate. Now I have the opportunity to go out with the 85mm lens and I am taking advantage of it.
Let's see what's next below.
Umbrellas.
Each eye is unique and each photographer has a different view of what they are seeing. Personally, I have always been attracted to rainy scenarios and especially umbrellas, people with umbrellas. Here I share with you one last series of the last day of rain in the city, photos that I took in the Palermo neighborhood.
This is what was happening on one of the corners of Santa Fé Avenue.
There are many places that could be more interesting for scenarios like this. The bridges is one of these.
Some more open spaces, parks, people going up or down stairs, there is too much to take advantage of and get good images.
I hope to be in one of these places with enough time to try one more time.
Sepia
This time I wanted to play a little with another tone of monochrome, generally and based on my preferences I choose to work in black and white, Although there may be variations and different monochromes can be applied, black and white seems more dramatic, more impactful, this is my opinion.
However, here we have three photos in a kind of sepia that I found interesting.
I chose one more of the series of umbrellas where the lady crosses the street, commanding the pedestrian crossing.
It seems that someone left their work equipment to take a break because of the rain that day.
Branches.
In some of the previous posts I shared a photo very similar to this one, it was right in the same place and it was impossible not to take another photo of the obelisk together with these tree branches.
These are other details that I like to capture, but not in color and if there are water drops, even better.
I hope one day to have a macro lens and make these shots something more interesting and detailed.
Architecture.
During my walk through Chacabuco Park in the Caballito neighborhood and when I was walking to the exit, I saw the upper part of this church in the background. It caught my attention because its towers stood out and looked imposing. Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Sanctuary Parish, inaugurated in 1945 in a neo-Roman style.
I couldn't help but take a couple of photos of these towers, on the left side you can see part of the Argentine flag.
I hope one day to return, visit the interior and take photos of other details.
I could say that this is a random photo but thinking about it, it could perfectly fit into the architecture category, although that was not my main goal. I was trying to capture the reflection you see there.
Some Extra Shots.
To finish I leave you a bonus of extra and random photos. A sunny day in Plaza Güemes where several people were enjoying a mini park with the younger children.
A contrast with the previous photo... A delivery during the rainy day doing its job.
...And rush hour traffic in a heavily wooded area.
That's all folks. Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.

I'm glad you liked it @bleujay
Have a great weekend.
so lovely my friend. Love the series that you took during the rainy days. which I think I would never dare to do. better to keep the camera inside the bag for me. hahah
I always run the risk of getting the camera wet but it still works 🤣 thanks for stopping by and appreciating my friend :)
some long time ago taking photographs of the street umbrellas was my obsession :-)
but when i visited Ethiopia and saw their amount, forms, colors and the variations of umbrellas, i got that will never find something similar or even close to these in my country.
great series @dimascastillo90

I guess I'll need something like this to stop my obsession with umbrellas a little hahaha From time to time I become obsessed with different themes, when I buy my macro lens, that will be the new obsession 😂

Intend to stay inside on rainy days, but it does pay off to go outside. Nice series with the umbrellas. I do wonder how you keep your gear dry when shooting in the rain.
I have to make a huge effort to go out during rainy days, it's easier when I'm already outside and it starts to rain.
Some drops fall on the camera but I always try to be under a roof 😂
Thanks for the feedback @friendlymoose :)
You had upgrated the intention of monochromatic in your pictures. Going into a classic b&w to this kind and elegant form. Lovely
