Moments in Downton Buenos Aires - Monomad Challenge.

A short photographic tour of downtown Buenos Aires, highlighting details, textures, people, and, of course, architecture. Just by arriving in this area, you will find many moments to capture and countless scenes that offer captivating backdrops. The Colón Theater is one of them. It covers an entire block, and every part of its surroundings is a subject for photography. Its high walls, columns, and the light that surrounds it make it even more striking, both for photographers and for those who visit, pass by, or decide to sit down and spend some time there.

It's a good place because of the light, and you can achieve very interesting compositions, but it is not only this. Even with just the architecture and light at your disposal, you can create some compositions of the details of some buildings with classic and iconic architecture of the city. An example of this are these beautiful French balconies that decorate part of the main avenue in the same neighborhood (San Nicolás).

There are two types of scenes that I usually prefer to compose. One of them will always be capturing a person walking in front of a large building, not a flat building, but something with greater impact. The architecture of the Presidente Roca school is ideal for this, since in addition to having a large door in the background, it also has columns, textures, and grandeur. It's a good place, although if there had been a border of light in that space, the result would have been more attractive and I would have been more satisfied.

Another detail I like to capture or portray is bicycles. I have a fondness for this and I have found that the 85 mm lens is ideal for this type of photo, but since I didn't have one at the time, I used a 50 mm and I liked how it turned out.

Don't miss the opportunity to take some photos of the city's icons and always look for a different angle or perspective. I'm sure there's always a different way to see and appreciate these structures. The city's obelisk offers many opportunities in this regard for composition, as does the tower of the legislature building, with its distinctive design and striking giant clock.

For me, today is like a Monday. I'm back at work, so I wish you all a good week and hope you enjoyed this series :)

That's all folks. Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.
