From Above... Cityscapes and Pedestrian Crossings - Monomad Challenge.
Urban landscapes are sometimes better seen from above, from another perspective and each neighborhood looks different, especially each area. This is Palermo Soho, a subdivision or branch of the Palermo neighborhood in general. This part of Palermo is very quiet, it is almost all residential buildings, there are not many business towers and not very modern buildings either.
But there is something that there is, a lot of vegetation, many trees and many birds singing during the dawn. A small part of the city that in a way makes a contrast with the noise of the downtown and nearby neighborhoods.
I was on the roof of a building... I hadn't been there before and although my idea was to take photos directly of the streets at sunset, I ended up photographing the entire view from here. The weather was not very favorable, I didn't have much time but the view is incredible from there.
I also like to dedicate some to the buildings themselves, to the details, to the structure and to trying to achieve some shapes. Windows, balconies are other elements that catch my attention from any angle or point of view.
Pedestrian Crossing.
Finally I took the photos I had in mind but without the light I had imagined. I was there for a few minutes with the aim of capturing only people walking along these lines, that was when I noticed the number of people on bikes. In such a way that you do not capture any person in that period of time.
It's a positive thing, I think. I like to see a lot more bikes than cars actually. Less pollution and more exercises, healthier for the planet and also for us.
I added a little more contrast in these photos, I adjusted the black and white and lighting levels a little in editing. I hope you enjoy them. Have a nice Sunday. Hugs :)
That's all folks. Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.

beautiful pieces of urbarianism. i'm less connecting with the bicyclists photographed from the top due to the strange perspectives and angles, but the cells of the buildings are looks great !
I always try to get different perspectives even if some are strange, that makes it interesting for me 😄 I'm glad you liked the ones about the buildings.
Have a great day @victorbz friend :)
yes ! appreciate your way !
Certainly black and white is a very natural filter for urbanizations, it is as if that is its true aspect, it can look gloomy and a bit sad, as if everything is neutral, but it is peaceful, serene, everything is distinguishable to be part of a whole.
It is urban art at its best. Great.
Many people don't like black and white very much, but I agree with you on what you say. In addition, I feel purer and more emotional in images without color, perhaps it is because I have many references of great photos/artists in my mind.
I see some scenes in the city in black and white too :))
Thanks @neblomax 🙌🏻
In some ways it must be great to live in a big city, so many different viewpoints and photographic opportunities like this. Love it
It's great because in some ways there are a lot of opportunities and good places. Although sometimes it's boring, that's why every year I try to go to the countryside, mountains or beach :)
This year I think it will be a beach, I'll see.
Thanks a lot for your nice feedback Stephen friend!
you're welcome,
I have to admit, I also love such kind of photos, especially when I have the chance to get on top of a high building in a place that I don't know and I'm traveling to. I could spend hours up there ;)
Nicely done here! :)
It's great to climb to the top of a building and get different angles, every time I can I do it. Thank you very much for stopping by friend. Have a good day :)
Exactly ;) Have one great day ahead as well, buddy!
