Buildings on Callao Avenue - Street Photography - Buenos Aires.

Architecture and Details.

It's always a pleasure to walk among so many giants of classical and ancient architecture, especially in areas I had not visited before or had not paid much attention to. Every time I visit the San Nicolás neighborhood, I walk the same streets and see and photograph the same buildings, although always from different angles or perspectives. I didn't know that this part of Callao Avenue belonged to the San Nicolás neighborhood, and it is good to know.

Another aspect that makes this part of the city attractive is the light, which is somehow unique. I'm sure any street photographer would love to be there capturing the essence of it all.

These French balconies fascinate me; with a lens at a focal length of 250mm it is possible to access the details of the structure and appreciate the lines and textures and areas that are impossible to see at first glance.

Here we can observe a small piece of that magnificent architectural style of a very narrow building in the middle of other flatter ones.

How many amazing buildings can you see there?

Unfortunately, as time goes by, flat and bland buildings in terms of design are becoming more common. But you can still see that tower to the right and to the left, one in shadow and the dome of another.

The top of one of these buildings that always catch my eye. The good thing is that most of them are in a good state of preservation. I believe most of them are state property.

This is the same building as the previous one, but from a different angle, from the top. It's always a good idea to incorporate some of the trees in combination with these buildings.

This is an interesting perspective; in fact, I really like this angle where you can see all the buildings in parallel, but... what a way to spoil the view with all those cables, don't you think?

Small balconies... A slightly more minimalist photo, but still attractive.

Bonus Shots.

Here are a couple of bonus photos of the YPF station, well... Of one of the signs and the sign on Paraguay Street and in the background the landscape of Callao Avenue and the street mentioned above.

I hope you enjoyed this series :)

It's true that there are more and more modern buildings and the old ones are somewhat overshadowed, but luckily they are still there and you've managed to capture them. I'm struck by how narrow they sometimes are, but they stand out for their beautiful balconies and domes. I especially loved the French balconies.

The angles are excellent with those leaves and tree branches creating a beautiful frame. And the area with its lights and shadows makes it ideal for this type of street photography.

Even the smallest balconies have their charm, and I like to see reflections in them. Excellent photographic composition, thank you very much and a big hug!

That's the charm of some places in the city; if you combine everything you see, you can appreciate a wonderful scene of lights, exquisite architecture, and the urban planning itself.
