Black and White Sunset - Monomad Challenge.

Most of the time I take photos of something in particular or when I make a walk in a neighborhood, I try to take enough photos for getting two versions. When we are in the presence of a sunset, we captivate the tones and that yellow or orange of the golden hour, so we want to show the intensity of these tones... It is always difficult for me to decide whether to share something in color or in black and white, I think I feel more attracted to the second.

So, today I want to share with you some shots of the last sunset, golden hour in the Belgrano neighborhood, Buenos Aires.

For some reason this is one of my favorites on this set, surely it is because there is only one person on the scene next to the bus at the station. I think it is a very clean image, no distractors.

Although the following is also another of my favorites. In the post in color I shared this same angle, I waited a second and made a second shot to have this version that I like much more.Black and white offers you the possibility of better appreciating textures in low angles.

Those people unfocused in the background give them a special touch.

This is another example of what I just mentioned regarding textures. I don't know why I am very attention to put the camera or phone on sewers 🤣 On a smooth surface and I would not have my impact I think.

I have decided to add three extra photos that do not belong to the Belgrano neighborhood and were not taken that day during sunset But they are random shots that I capture at different times and places.

I love how that tree looks in the glass of that building in the Caballito neighborhood. The sky gives a little drama to the image.

Another look at the curved building of brutalist architecture in the Palermo neighborhood. Someday I would like to visit it inside and take some photos in contrast to a wide angle, the perspective must be fascinating.

Finally, one of the corners of Buenos Aires on Scalabrini Ortiz Avenue in the Palermo Soho neighborhood. I do not remember exactly the architecture style of this building, it is not known but if it attracts a lot of attention.

I have been a bit absent for family and work issues but I'm already taking up my stuff again. I hope you liked this series and I thank you for appreciating.

That's all folks. Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.

Your black and white captures reflect a strong sense of place and mood—especially the textures and subtle contrasts. Great eye for detail!
