A Visit to Playa Grande, Mar Del Plata.
Playa Grande is one of the most emblematic beaches in Mar Del Plata, Apart from being one of the most popular, it was the first to have many attractions, Starting at the beginning of the last century, many hotels began to be built in the area and tourist activity increased significantly, attracting many tourists in such a way that it is considered one of the busiest beaches in the summer season.
I have visited the place many times and I consider that it is an area that goes far beyond the natural concept in terms of beaches and nature. There is a lot of upper middle class, many restaurants and private spaces with luxuries at very high prices.
These spaces are like these that make up the first photos, private beaches that offer accommodation services with prices that vary from $80 a day to more than $100.
What is the difference with the public beach? You have a space with different attractions and amenities, They offer you an awning, swimming pool, soccer and tennis courts. In a certain sense it may be worth it if we think about the pool but you can have everything else without paying.
This depends on the mentality of each visitor, I personally think that the less is the better, sports activities are also practiced on the shores of the beach, I don't need a pool if I'm in the sea, it doesn't make much sense to me. Connecting with nature is not about renting a place like that, I am more attracted to the idea of getting into a tent, bathing in the sea and doing other kind of activities.
But this is what Playa Grande offers, you can do whatever you want :)
There are also other reasons why people access these types of services, the temperature of the pool is not the same as that of the sea. We are in the south, the water is quite cold and not many like it but it is a condition of the location where you are. You can choose to go to a beach in the Caribbean, in Brazil for example, but the costs are different.
Taking a bath with cold water may be difficult at first but then you get used to it, and cold water brings many benefits to the body.
Sometimes you can see people visiting the beach but they are wearing clothes, this is because they literally do not enter the sea for this reason. Their idea is to admire the landscape, appreciate the sea, the horizon and spend time doing other activities. However, there are many others who are brave :)
In addition to the restaurants and hotels, there is a lot of nightlife here. A kind of walkway where they hold electronic music events, discos with themes that come to life every weekend. Another reason why I think that beyond the beach this is what attracts many tourists. You have nightlife, luxury restaurants, private beaches, a lot of luxury... Ah! and in sea.
I must confess that this beach is one of the points where I stop to take photos, I don't even dream of bathing here due to the exaggerated number of people who visit it. Fortunately it wasn't that crowded when I went.
I prefer the beaches that are much further south, there are fewer people, they are crazy cleaner but they are much colder, that doesn't matter. You have to take it therapeutically and I'll tell you... It works!
But here I am, sharing what I can from each space on the Atlantic coast, everything I was able to capture with my camera during the few days I was on vacation there.
I hope you like some of these photos. Have a nice start to the week :)
That's all folks! Thanks for stopping by and appreciating.

Wow, what a beautiful place.
Thanks for stopping by and commenting @reachdreams Have a great week :)
You are welcome, friend.
What a wonderful place 💕
Hey! Thanks for the comment! Appreciate it :)
Actually this place of mass tourism doesn´t look appealing to me.
Not for me either... I like quieter places with few people more, but that's why I always go to the beaches that are further south :)
This place looks much nicer
Interesting! I didn't imagine that Mar del Plata was like that, so crowded. I don't like beaches like that to be honest. But the pictures of the place are great and give an idea of what the place has to offer.

¡Hey, feliz añoooo! 🎉

Stunning, upscale resort hotel + beach.
Seems to be the perfect place for a summer vacation.
