Grey Wagtail (Motacilla cinerea)

AT the cemetary park where i shoot, there a small creek and i found this grey wagtail looking for food. it is a small bird, typically measuring around 15-16 cm in length. male grey Wagtail has bright yellow underparts and olive-green upperparts during the breeding season. it got its name due to distinctive tail-wagging behavior. they wag their tails to help flush out insects from the grass. i seldom see them at the park. maybe only twice a year.

yeah they look the same. odd here in the philippines, they are considered to be of Least Concern, maybe we have more food source for them. they are migratory birds maybe thats one reason i not seem them a lot. plus i think the blue headed variety face threats due to habitat loss and changes in agricultural practices.
