STREET ART #180 – Painting the walls in Newtown, Johannesburg

I'm not quite done with Johannesburg yet. By chance we walked past a parking garage in the center of the Newtown. We had come on foot from Mary Fitzgerald Square where we had been admiring street artist DBong's portraits of South African jazz legends. We were looking for a place to have lunch and walked straight past the parking garage when we saw the paintings.






After lunch we went down to the car park and looked at these. I don't know much about them, but it was nice to see that they have decorated the driveway of a parking garage. It was the only day we were in Newtown. I know the city has a lot of fantastic art, but at least we did get to see some of it.
