📸 PhotoFeed Contest - WildlifePhotography #115 : Small, armoured creature from South-America
When I first saw this rather small animal with an armoured shell, I didn't know what kind of creature that was. We were hiking in Argentine Patagonia at the foot of Mt. Fitz Roy when we met this little guy and a couple of others. We found out it's an Armadillo. He has claws so he is able to dig wholes. A most amazing experience. Non of them ran away when we passed them. I took the photo with my phone, so the quality isn't all that good. It was great to see them.Never know they excited or what kind of animal it is! But we found out in the small visitor center with information and photos🙂

Very cool animal, it's good that they're not shy, it gives you time to take the photo 😀
They were not shy at all. We saw several. One kept digging a hole even we were watching..I fon't know how well they see...
