PhotoFeed Contest - Landscape Photography #58 : The highest mountain in the world

It has already been a number of years since I traveled on a trip where I combined a road trip across the Himalayas (Lhasa to Kathmandu) and a 12-day hike to Mt. Everest Base Camp in Nepal. The advantage was that I got close to Mt. Everest from both sides. The photo shows Mt. Everest's seen from base camp on the Tibet side of the border. The world's highest mountain at 8,848 meters above sea level (according to Wikipedia).
